The assistant drove like a maniac, arriving at Astra Media in barely twenty minutes. He jumped out first, respectfully pulling open the rear door.
"Mr. Granger."
Jonah stared up at the towering office building, his mood souring further.
Adjusting his suit jacket, he marched inside.
As the elevator climbed higher and higher, the crease between his brows deepened.
They had arrived.
The moment the elevator doors parted, Jonah's expression twisted into one of sheer fury. That woman... she actually had the audacity!
The assistant stood by his side, too terrified to even breathe.
How was this an office?
A pile of trash sat near the entrance. The tall potted plants by the front desk were withered, leaving only yellowing leaves and bare stems.
Peering further inside, every single piece of office equipment had been stripped away. Aside from some discarded papers littering the floor, the space was entirely gutted.
"M-Mr. Granger."
The assistant's scalp tingled with dread. "It seems Miss Fairchild has already moved out."
Jonah's hands clenched into tight fists at his sides, looking as though he were ready to crush bone. "Tell me... exactly how long has she been planning this?"
"..."
How in the world was he supposed to know that?
The assistant wore a grimace, hesitating for a long moment before tentatively offering, "Is it possible... Miss Fairchild had been planning to relocate the company for a while now?"
Then, a sudden realization struck him. "Wait, I remember Mr. Fairchild is a major shareholder in this company. As long as he doesn't sign off on it, she definitely can't move the headquarters out of Southampton. Miss Fairchild will have to come back!"
Jonah let out a chilling laugh. "Do you honestly think she's as stupid as you are?"
"..." Why was he getting dragged into this?
"If she's had this planned out, she would have anticipated all these hurdles. Dominic... is probably still completely in the dark."
Jonah took a deep breath and ordered coldly, "Let's go. We're heading to the Fairchild residence."
She had only just found out today that Jonah had arranged all of this to take her to Switzerland for her transplant surgery.
Looking at it this way, he obviously didn't care about Vivian anymore.
The more she thought about it, the harder it was to hide the smug triumph in her eyes.
"Of course he is."
Dominic strode out of the main hall, his face beaming as if he had just won the lottery. "Dr. Granger was so worried about your health that he arranged a private jet ages ago. You'll be off to Switzerland this afternoon, and in a month, your heart condition will be completely cured!"
"Dr. Granger?"
Amara looked confused, unsure of who her father was referring to.
Dominic caught the look on Jonah's face and realized it wasn't his place to reveal the man's true identity. He let out an awkward laugh. "I just mean, considering Dr. Granger's status and prestigious background, he certainly carries the authority of the Granger family, doesn't he?"
"Oh... I see."
For a second, Amara had almost thought her father was comparing him to Northside's legendary crown prince.
