The Stand-In Who Burned the Script novel Chapter 432

Vivian had said it before—Silas had figured out exactly how to handle her. For instance, the moment he said, "I'll hold you while we sleep," she suddenly had no counterarguments.

She obediently went upstairs and took a shower.

By the time she came out, Silas was already in bed.

He was leaning back against the headboard, holding his phone, looking at God knows what.

Vivian shimmied her shoulders, letting the straps of her nightgown slip down a little, and walked over.

"I'm all clean. Are we going to sleep?"

The man looked up and patted the empty space next to him.

Vivian's lips curved into a smile. She walked around the foot of the bed, climbed in from the other side, and slipped under the covers while wrapping her arms around his waist.

Her fingers moved like they were on a treasure hunt, tracing the lines of his hard abs and trailing up his chest.

Silas was probably used to it by now, as he didn't even try to stop her.

"Stop messing around. Behave."

Oh.

She stopped moving and looked at the phone screen with him.

It was some chaotic mind map that made her dizzy after just two glances. Vivian was never one to waste her energy on things like that, so she shifted her attention back to his face.

He really was handsome.

His jawline was sharp and defined, his Adam's apple prominent.

She couldn't help but swallow hard, reaching up to touch his face.

Silas possessed a strikingly beautiful face, but it didn't detract from his intense masculinity in the slightest. He was entirely unique.

Just as she was lost in his good looks, the man's voice came out low and hoarse. "Keep moving, and see if I don't tie those hands to the headboard."

Vivian snapped back to reality. Without realizing it, she had pushed his bathrobe completely open.

"...Sorry about that."

She smiled, shifting her arms up a bit higher to loop around his neck. She didn't look sorry at all.

"Who told you to look good enough to eat? Now that we're home, can we finish what we started?"

"Started when?"
