Her thick, dark hair cascaded carelessly over her shoulders. She propped her chin on a pale hand, eyes closed, radiating an indescribable, effortless sex appeal.
Amara froze in her tracks for several seconds, her heart hammering wildly against her ribs.
She hadn't slept a wink the night before, desperately trying to guess who had taken her.
Who had the audacity to abduct her and lock her in here?
Vivian... It was actually her!
"What's the matter? Did you forget how to speak just from seeing me?"
The woman slowly opened her eyes, her cold, striking features utterly devoid of emotion. "Weren't you screaming plenty loud before?"
"Vivian... what gives you the right to drag me here? Let me tell you, Dad is already on his way. You'd better let me go right now, or he'll make you pay!"
Amara had suffered enough at Vivian's hands to know that this woman was completely ruthless.
Dragging her here meant only one thing—Vivian had guessed she was behind last night's incident.
But so what?
She couldn't possibly have evidence.
Amara had carefully checked the area before bribing that waiter. There were zero security cameras.
Vivian tapped her fingers lazily against the armrest, looking at Amara as if she were a pathetic insect.
"Aside from running to daddy, what else can you actually do?"
"He's your dad too, you—"
Amara's voice trembled violently. She fought to control herself, trying her best not to look weak. "If you completely disregard him, you're an ungrateful daughter!"
"Oh, I'm absolutely terrified."
"..."
Amara's face cycled rapidly between pale white and flushed red. Her hands clenched her dress tightly as she shrieked, "What exactly did you bring me here for? I'm warning you, if Dad can't find me, he's going to call the cops, and you'll—"
Before she could finish her sentence, Vivian let out a harsh scoff.
Amara choked out the words with immense effort. "I had nothing to do with it!"
"Oh, nothing to do with it?"
Vivian swung her arm violently, tossing the woman onto the floor like a piece of trash. She stared down at her from above. "You probably watched the whole thing unfold, didn't you? However badly he was hurt, I'm taking it out on you. And if you have a problem with that, I'll pay you back double!"
With a harsh crash, Vivian swept a heavy vase off the table. It shattered explosively on the floor, sending sharp fragments of porcelain flying in every direction.
Grabbing Amara by the arm without a shred of mercy, Vivian shoved her backward.
"Ah...!!"
Even before making contact, Amara began shrieking.
"Vivian... how dare you do this to me! Dad will kill you for this... and I swear I won't let you get away with it!"
Vivian's merciless gaze dropped to the top of her head. She raised her foot and stomped down hard.
Already struggling on the floor, Amara couldn't withstand the immense force. Her back slammed directly into the jagged shards of the broken vase. Blood slowly began to seep through the white fabric of her dress, blossoming outwards like dark crimson roses.
