When Vivian returned to the hospital room, the man hadn't woken up. Everything was exactly as she had left it.
She crept carefully back into the bed and pulled the covers up.
After trying to sleep for a bit, something felt off. She reached over, grabbed the man's arm, and draped it heavily over her waist.
Now it felt right.
She drifted off to sleep.
Not long after, the man beside her opened his eyes, his dark gaze fathomless in the shadows.
Early the next morning, Simon arrived to pick them up. Vivian told them to head back first because she had errands to run.
The car door was still open. Silas looked at her from the backseat. "Where are you going?"
"To get revenge for you."
Vivian winked and suddenly leaned halfway into the car. The position made her long legs look incredibly slender and completely flawless.
Blocking most of the morning light, she could clearly see her own reflection in the man's dark eyes.
"What's wrong? Are you going to miss me?"
At such a close distance, even their breaths tangled together.
Silas didn't blink. He ignored the teasing. "Who exactly are you going to get revenge on?"
His voice was impossibly smooth. Without exaggeration, any wealthy socialite would gladly throw her entire fortune at his feet just to hear him speak.
Vivian reached out and pinched his chin, a radiant smile on her face. "The mastermind behind last night, obviously. Head home first and wait for me, okay?"
She leaned in to kiss him.
Silas tilted his head slightly to the side, and the kiss landed softly on his cheek.
"Why are you being like this?" she pouted, annoyed he dodged her lips.
"Have some decency instead of sticking your ass out in public."
"..."
Currently, half of Vivian's body was inside the car, one leg kneeling on the leather seat, the other planted outside on the pavement.
It wasn't exactly inappropriate, but it certainly drew the eye.
"Fine, fine."
She pulled back and whispered softly, "You'd better make up for it tonight."
Silas ignored her entirely.
Zachary smiled and nodded. "Fair point."
The car merged onto the highway and soon arrived back at the same luxury hotel from yesterday.
Vivian looked up. The towering skyscraper reflected blinding light under the sun, exuding an untouchable aura of wealth.
It was already a top-tier luxury hotel, but Zachary had gone the extra mile and booked a massive suite.
"What a waste of money."
Amara definitely didn't deserve to step foot in here.
Zachary sighed helplessly. "Should I drag her out and dump her in a public restroom right now?"
"Forget it." The money was already spent.
Vivian pushed the door open. The massive suite was completely silent, and there was no one in sight.
She walked around the living room once.
Then, she sat down on the sofa.
When Amara finally stepped out of the bathroom, this was the sight that greeted her—
The stunningly beautiful woman sat with her legs elegantly crossed, wearing a sharp suit and trousers with a burgundy silk blouse underneath. The top two buttons were undone, revealing just enough to be wildly seductive.
