"I'd wish I never had to see you again!"
"If it weren't for Tilly, did you really think..."
"Did you really think I would ever willingly show up in front of you?"
"Time and time again, you've mocked me and made snide remarks, and I haven't held it against you."
"But my patience has limits, Edmond."
"Let's just end this."
"Let's just leave it at this. I'm done. I don't want any of it anymore."
"Goodbye, Edmond. Forever."
With that, Sheila spun around and walked out.
Edmond abruptly shot up. "Sheila!"
She didn't look back.
He immediately sprinted after her.
She was running fast, and he could only watch helplessly as she stepped into the elevator.
Left with no choice, he took the stairs.
Furious and completely flustered, Sheila ran aimlessly, having no idea where she was going.
"Sheila!"
Edmond finally spotted her and chased her down, grabbing her wrist.
"Let go of me!" she screamed. "You bastard!"
"Fine, I'm a bastard, but what about Cecil? Knowing what kind of person he is, you still dare to call him family? Don't come crying to me when he sells you out and you're the one counting the money for him!"
"Even if he does, I'm willing! What does it have to do with you? Keep your fake concern to yourself!"
"Have you completely lost your mind, Sheila!"
Just as she was about to wrench her arm free, four or five towering men suddenly appeared from the shadows, surrounding them.
Security could be a serious issue in this city, and Sheila had unknowingly run behind the hospital building.
Edmond had rushed out so suddenly that his bodyguards hadn't caught up yet.
The men looked menacing, wielding metal pipes.
One of them barked, "Phones and wallets, now!"
Edmond instantly pulled Sheila behind him.
