"Almost," Edmond replied. "When she gets here, let her feed herself. Don't coddle her."

"Got it." Taking advantage of the fact that they were alone, she asked, "By the way, you told me to organize your walk-in closet. I just want to check, is there anything in there I absolutely shouldn't touch?"

"You can touch whatever you want."

She gave him a skeptical look.

"What?" he asked.

"Didn't you completely forbid me from touching your clothes before?"

Edmond frowned. "When did I ever say that?"

"That time at dinner, and also at the hospital," she reminded him. "Did you forget?"

He hadn't forgotten.

He vividly remembered the incident at the restaurant. "You were reaching for another man's jacket. Of course I wasn't going to let you touch mine after that!"

"And what about at the hospital?"

At the hospital, his suitcase had contained something he absolutely couldn't let her see.

The same went for the restaurant.

He had had something hidden in his coat pocket that was meant to be a secret.

"You ask way too many questions," he said, his tone turning impatient. "I told you to organize it, so organize it. Can you do your job or not?"

"I can," she relented, dropping the subject. "As long as you don't have any forbidden zones, it's fine."

The private dining room fell silent for a moment before she tried again. "Are you absolutely sure I can't buy an insulated tumbler?"
