Still You Still Me Still Falling novel Chapter 73

Rushed straight here, only to go see Cecil first?

Edmond let out a cold scoff.

Sheila asked him, "Have you eaten? Do you need me to grab you something?"

"No!"

"Then what do you need me to do?"

"I don't need anything!"

She looked at him in confusion. "Then what's the point of me being your caregiver? Should I just leave?"

Edmond's expression turned even more sour.

"I agreed to your terms, and you're the one saying you don't need anything. Don't go back on your word later!"

"I said I don't need anything right now," Edmond snapped coldly. "You made a promise, and you're going to see it through. The doctor said I need to stay for ten days."

"Ten days?" Sheila was stunned. "Wasn't it seven?"

"Are you the doctor? Do you make the rules?"

Sheila bit her tongue.

She didn't want to argue with him.

It was entirely pointless and would only leave her infuriated.

She chose to stay quiet.

"Pour me a glass of water."

It wasn't long before Edmond issued a command.

Sheila stood up and poured the water.

Once done, she handed it to him.

He refused to take it.

"What, do I need to hand-feed it to you?" she huffed.

He looked up at her. "How's the temperature?"

"I eyeballed it. It should be fine."

"'Should be'? If it burns me, can you afford the damages?"

"You are unbelievable..." she muttered. "Should I go buy a thermometer then?"

"Figure it out yourself!"

Sheila suddenly remembered taking a sip yesterday before handing him the glass.

The realization hit her late—did that count as an indirect kiss?
