He had stepped away briefly last night, only to return and find Sheila completely gone.

He and his men had practically torn the entire venue apart looking for her, with no luck.

Even the security cameras had conveniently malfunctioned.

Given the massive hostility between him and Edmond, and the fact that this was Edmond's private suite, Cecil's men naturally hadn't been able to search here.

He never expected Sheila to actually be inside!

It didn't take a genius to conclude that Edmond was the one pulling the strings behind the scenes.

Edmond didn't bother denying it.

Given Sheila's drugged state last night, there was no way he was going to let her leave.

If she had been trapped in that completely vulnerable, drugged state with any other man, it would have been a lot worse than just a few hickeys.

Edmond's icy gaze dropped to where Sheila's hand was wrapped tightly around Cecil's arm.

Cecil had no choice but to temporarily suppress his boiling rage.

Right now, his only priority was getting Sheila out of here safely.

This wasn't his territory, meaning his hands were tied in a lot of ways.

But the second they were back on their home turf, he was going to make Edmond pay in blood.

He grabbed Sheila's hand. "We're leaving!"

Edmond stood like a statue, watching them disappear down the hall, his eyes terrifyingly cold.

It wasn't until Cecil got her into the back of his heavily guarded SUV that he finally spoke. "Sheila, I am so sorry. I never should have left you alone."

Sheila shook her head silently.

The bodyguard in the front passenger seat couldn't help but add, "Mr. Rhodes hasn't slept a wink all night..."
