Chapter 72 

The next day, everyone but Sapphire and Melanie went to work. Sapphire had the day off and did not need to go to the office. 

Melanie suggested cleaning the house. She planned to delay going into the boutique so she could help with the cleaning, 

Sapphire looked around. There had been little cleaning to do in the house recently, but it had gotten a little dirty. Since she did not need to go to the office that day, she decided to do some cleaning. 

Melanie grabbed the opportunity to slip into Felicia’s room. There was a locked cupboard in it, and she had a hunch that there was something fishy about IL 

No one was outside, so she pulled out her hairpin and fiddled with the cupboard for a while to unlock it. 

Once she got it opened, Melanie saw a yellowed journal inside. Her eyes lit up. To avoid being discovered by Sapphire, she took it straight back to her room and flipped it open. The handwriting was rather messy at first, but it became very neat toward the end, giving it a more mature appearance. Melanie flipped right to the end of the journal, and her eyes shone at once.

women who were full of emotions but had nowhere to vent them would turn to writing journals; Felicia was no exception. She had written very clearly in her journal about her love for Edward, 

It wasn’t that Felicia had been reckless. She had locked the journal in the cupboard and felt that no one would ever see it, which was why she had been so bold 

Something like that could never be spoken of openly. Felicia had been adopted by the Graysons, after all. She should have understood her position in the family when she stepped through the door. Although she was adopted, Edward was still her second oldest brother. How could they ever be allowed to be together? If the news got out, wouldn’t it be regarded as incest? 

Melanie finished reading it but did not plan to return it. Instead, she kept it with her. 

After cleaning up, Sapphire praised Melanie for being a very efficient and hard worker. 

“I’ve got to 

o go and help at the boutique this afternoon, Sapphire. So I’ll talk to you later.” Melanie grabbed her bag and then headed out. 

When she got to the boutique, she saw that things were in full swing and Julia was very busy. Melanie felt rather guilty. So many things had happened recently that she hadn’t paid much attention to the store. If julia hadn’t been around, things would have been difficult

Felicia hurried over to open it. She turned as white as a sheet when she saw that the journal inside was gone. She felt as if she had been hit. Her ears were ringing. She did not dare to imagine the e consequneces
