After Melanie finished her driving practice, she stopped by a local diner to grab two takeouts of pasta with sauce. Then, she took the bus back to the boutique, When she arrived, she found Julia in the middle of a sale, Melanie joined in, convincing the customer to buy two dresses.. 

“We’ve sold five dresses just this morning after you left, julia reported excitedly. “We’ll need to restock soon at this rate. This is so much more fun than crunching numbers at my old job!TM

Sophie’s friends happily shared the boutique’s location, and she watched with growing frustration as they basked in all the attention. She felt that she should be the one everyone envied, not them.

After two hours, she finally gave up. She realized that nothing compared to Melanie’s dresses, which were exclusively available at her shop. Sophie could not help but regret her previous attitude toward Melanie. Nevertheless, her pride would not let her shop there directly, 

Instead, she hatched a plan to have a friend buy her a dress. She could then change into it at school and change out of it before heading home. 

Backar the boutique, Melanie was surprised by the afternoon rush of customers brought in by the four girls from yesterday. She even offered the newcomers a discount and threw in some jewelry for free, giving credit to the original girls who had spread the word. 

The girls beamed with pride, and their impression of Melanie improved significantly. One of the bolder girls even said, “Melanie, people say you’re just a country girl with no education or class, but that’s nonsense. You’re beautiful, your clothes are amazing, and you even have such a lovely voice.” Delighted by the compliment, Melanie grabbed a handful of milk candies from the far on her counter and distributed them to the gids. “Thank you, sweethearts. You’re all beautiful too. Tell your friends they’ll get the same discount if they shop here.” 

The girls were quickly won over, and they promised to bring more friends back to the shop, palla watched in amazement from the sideline as Melanie effortlessly charmed the young customers
