Bonnie took the bus and arrived at Riverstone Heights at exactly eight-forty, following the address Jasper had sent her.
The security guards here wore crisp uniforms, standing as straight as pine trees.
As soon as Bonnie approached with her suitcase, she was stopped.
Someone must have notified them in advance, because after verifying her ID, they quickly granted her temporary access in the security system.
Bonnie thanked them and wheeled her suitcase inside.
Riverstone Heights was massive, lined with lush trees and quiet enough to feel like a private park.
Following her GPS, she found Building 3.
The building was a low-density, six-story luxury complex with only two units per floor and private elevator access.
The elevator opened directly on the third floor into a spacious private foyer.
Standing in front of the heavy security door, Bonnie's palms grew sweaty.
This area was prime real estate. In her entire life, she had never been to a place like this, let alone imagined living here.
Taking a deep breath, she knocked on the door.
It opened quickly.
Jasper, dressed in a sharp suit, lowered his voice and said, "Ms. Hayes, Mr. Vance is still resting. Please keep your voice down."
Bonnie instinctively checked the time.
It was nearly nine.
Her new boss was actually still asleep.
She didn't ask questions and simply nodded obediently. "Got it."
Jasper gave her a quick tour.
The apartment was over three thousand square feet, decorated in stark black, white, and gray. It was spacious and immaculate, but so cold it felt entirely devoid of life.
The living room featured floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the estate's central garden. There was a tea room, a dining area, dual kitchens, and a lounge, all fully equipped.
The master bedroom was tucked in the back next to the medical room, while the study remained locked.
Jasper pointed to those doors, his tone turning severe.
"The master bedroom, the medical room, and Mr. Vance's study—you are absolutely forbidden from entering without his explicit permission."
"Normally, you just need to be attentive to Mr. Vance's needs and assist him whenever necessary."
Bonnie committed it to memory. "Understood."
Jasper took a phone call and left shortly after.
