Rowena was stunned by the blows. When she finally snapped back to reality, she threw her arms around Zeke's leg and wailed, "Zeke, I—"

This was a massive mess. Zeke had no patience for her tears. He kicked her squarely in the chest, sending her collapsing to the ground with a shriek.

Still furious, Zeke kicked her a few more times until she stopped moving entirely.
