The next morning, Dorian took Cyril to Northwing Court to say their goodbyes. Unexpectedly, Adrian Markell arrived with his family for a visit.
The diplomatic summit with Solenforth was next month. Adrian's visit at this time was definitely no coincidence, and the Ravenshires knew it well.
Caspian had the President escorted to the study and specifically asked the men from the second and third branches to help entertain the guests.
Dorian was no longer in a hurry to leave. He even made a point to instruct Cyril to take good care of Sienna.
Sienna hadn't seen Cyril in a long time. Seeing him in a wheelchair, she grew visibly tense, but with Lennox present, she couldn't ask too many questions.
The two of them strolled through the gardens. When they reached the Lakeheart Gazebo, Cyril suddenly mentioned discomfort in his legs, so Sienna suggested they rest in the pavilion for a while.
Over the past three years, Adrian had occasionally interacted with the Ravenshire family, so Sienna had lost her initial curiosity about the estate. However, she grew increasingly interested in the vibrant balcony behind Blackbriar Wing.
Past the Lakeheart Gazebo were the inner courtyards. Every time, she was stopped right here.
It seemed today would be no exception.
Sienna felt a little disappointed. She knew Cyril was proud and didn't let people in easily. It was exactly this arrogance that made him stand out from everyone else in her eyes.
But before that pride was broken, it was undeniably hurtful.
Cyril naturally noticed Sienna's subtle shift in mood, but he had no desire to waste his energy on such trivial matters. He pretended not to notice, keeping his head down as he scrolled through his phone.
Sienna waited for a while, but he didn't initiate a conversation. She felt out of place.
In the past, he would at least maintain a gentle demeanor and never let the atmosphere turn cold.
Lennox felt the awkwardness and cleared his throat. "You're working so hard, Mr. Cyril. Even while recovering, you're still organizing files for your father."
Cyril looked up and cast a glance at Lennox. Although it was just a casual look, for some reason, Lennox found the calmness in his eyes terrifying.
Sienna's attention was diverted as she leaned closer to Cyril. "So you're helping your dad sort his files?"
"Yes." Cyril locked his phone.
Cyril's eyes widened in surprise. He turned his head, and out of nowhere, a dazzling, radiant smile popped out from behind the pillar.
"..."
His reflexes were sharp. The moment Sienna fell toward him, he had already raised an arm to block her from the wheelchair. Such a distant, guarded reaction caught Sienna completely off guard. She felt a wave of disappointment, but just as she was about to stand up, that ruthless arm suddenly flinched.
"Oh my, I didn't see anything!"
A dramatic gasp echoed from behind. Before Sienna could process the situation, she quickly stood up straight. Turning around to see Vivienne, her face flushed red. "I... I just tripped."
Vivienne let out a long 'Oh,' her gaze darting back and forth between the two of them. "Are you two... on a date?"
"..." How could she just ignore what I said? Sienna didn't know how to respond and could only look at Cyril.
Her gaze was filled with embarrassment, yet it hid a flicker of secret anticipation.
