When Taylor placed the peeled shrimp into Leonora's bowl, she looked up at him and said, "You don't have to be so polite. Eat it yourself."
"It's fine," Taylor replied, continuing to place the shrimp into her bowl.
Realizing she couldn't persuade him otherwise, Leonora resigned herself to quietly eating.
As she glanced at Taylor again, he reminded her, "You've got a bit of rice on the corner of your mouth."
Leonora raised her hand to wipe her mouth.
"It's still there," Taylor pointed out with a small smile.
She had taken extra care with her appearance today, only for this to happen. If she had known, she wouldn't have spent so much time and effort.
Seeing Leonora struggle to clean the rice off, Taylor reached over and gently removed it for her.
"Thanks," Leonora said, feeling a bit embarrassed.
Little did Leonora know, when you like someone, even their most embarrassing moments are endearing and completely normal in your eyes.
After finishing their meal, knowing Leonora enjoyed the restaurant's freshly squeezed juices, Taylor asked the waitress to pack one for her.
When the waitress handed them the juice, she said with a smile, "Mrs. Ferguson, if you have any other dishes you like, just let us know. We can make them specially for you."
Taylor treated Leonora well, and the waitress naturally valued her more, treating her with great importance.
Hearing the waitress call her "Mrs. Ferguson" made Leonora blush. She wondered how to explain, but Taylor took the juice and thanked the waitress with a smile.
He didn't deny the title, and he even seemed to relish it.
Leonora glanced at Taylor.
Their eyes met, and Taylor naturally put his arm around her shoulders and led her out.
It wasn't until they reached the parking lot that Taylor let go of Leonora, then habitually opened the passenger door for her, his hand guarding her head as she got in the car.
Leonora's heart inexplicably sped up.
For some reason, she always felt uneasy dining with men on blind dates, but with Taylor, it was different. Even when he put his arm around her shoulders, she felt no aversion.
As the car door gently closed, Leonora couldn't help but think that after sharing a bed for over two years, her body and mind were completely open to him.
Soon, Taylor got into the car, handing her the juice. Leonora took it and politely thanked him.
Taylor smiled, then started the car and drove towards the theater.
They arrived at the theater at a quarter past two. Taylor got the tickets, and soon after they were seated, the musical began.
It was a well-known foreign musical that had recently become popular locally, so Taylor decided to join in on the fun.
Occasionally, Taylor's gaze would fall on Leonora, seeing her watching the stage intently, seemingly forgetting his existence.
While Leonora watched the musical, Taylor watched her, just like he did with the movie the day before.
Whether she was eating, watching TV, browsing on her phone, or working, Taylor adored her whenever she was focused.
During the intermission, as Leonora stretched her arms and legs, Taylor suddenly said, "Leonora, you smell so nice today."
She never used to wear perfume when they were together before.
Taylor's sudden change of topic made Leonora feel a bit self-conscious, but she tried to appear calm and said, "You smell pretty good today too."
She had noticed it when they met in the morning.
Taylor, without any hint of embarrassment, openly said, "I got up early to shower and change. I put on some cologne, probably the scent you like."
