30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 551

In the days that followed, Leonora and Taylor continued to see each other frequently. But after a couple of weeks, the initial excitement began to wane, especially as Taylor's workload increased, requiring frequent business trips. Whenever he asked Leonora to join him, she always declined. After all, it wasn’t exactly normal for someone from the admin office to tag along with the boss without raising eyebrows.

Even though she didn't go with him, Taylor never failed to bring her back a gift each time he returned.

One Saturday, with no plans on the horizon, Leonora's friend Joselyn dragged her out for some much-needed shopping.

Sitting across from each other in a cozy café, Joselyn couldn't help but notice Leonora's distracted demeanor. “Where’s your Mr. Taylor? Not glued to your side on such a lovely weekend?”

Joselyn often teased about Taylor’s clinginess, sometimes even feeling it interfered with their girl time.

Pouring fresh juice for Joselyn, Leonora replied, “He's on a business trip, won’t be back for a few days.”

“That makes sense. When you’re dating a big shot CEO, a lot of people depend on him. I’ve got the same deal with Dr. Fleming; relationships just evolve this way.”

Leonora smiled and passed Joselyn a dish. She had grown accustomed to Taylor's absence over the past two years. In fact, she found it more unusual when he was overly attentive.

After lunch, the two friends continued shopping, caught a movie, and didn’t head home until after nine.

Later that night, as Leonora was getting ready for bed, her phone rang. It was Taylor.

“Arielle, have you forgotten about me since I haven’t called?” Taylor’s voice came through immediately.

It wasn’t the first time he teased her about this. Before she could respond, he continued, “You should call me more often, keep tabs on me, make sure I’m behaving.”

Leonora laughed, lounging on her bed with the phone in her hand. “And how exactly am I supposed to do that from miles away?”

Her laughter warmed Taylor’s heart. “Honey, I miss you. Maybe I should transfer you to my office.”

“The secretarial positions are hired externally; there’s no precedent for internal transfers. Let's not stir the pot.”

A sudden promotion would undoubtedly spark rumors, and Leonora preferred to stay in her current role. They continued talking until Leonora, yawning, indicated it was time to end the call.

In the past, Taylor’s business trips meant a break from their routine, lacking the regular check-ins of a typical relationship. But now, their communication was more like that of a couple deeply in love, sharing every little detail.

On Wednesday, Taylor returned from his trip and called Leonora before the end of the workday, suggesting they head back to Southbay together that evening.

Leonora agreed.

However, just before leaving work, Taylor called again. “Honey, I’ve got a dinner I need to attend. I’ll have Mr. Lee take you to Southbay first, and I’ll join you as soon as I can.”

“Okay,” Leonora agreed readily, eager to see him after days apart.

After work, she was driven back to Southbay by Mr. Lee. With Mrs. Chen not around to cook that day, Leonora ordered takeout, choosing the priciest option on the app to match Taylor’s usual dining standards.
