30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 532

A few years back, Ava was living abroad. But thanks to changes in her husband's job, she found herself back in town. She never expected to bump into Taylor again. Yet, fate has a funny way of throwing curveballs just when you think life is running smoothly.

When she saw Taylor pause, she stepped forward with a smile, "Hey, long time no see."

It really had been ages since they last crossed paths. They hadn't seen each other at all since their breakup.

Ava took the plunge and greeted him first. Taylor, with his hands casually shoved into his pockets, replied with a relaxed smile, "Yeah, it's been a while."

They were each other's first loves, and seeing him again brought a flood of memories and mixed emotions for Ava. Ah, youth! The man standing before her was her youth, her wild side, and a part of her past she couldn't quite reach anymore.

For Taylor, Ava represented the same.

Locking eyes with her, Taylor asked calmly, "When did you get back?"

"It's been two years now," she said. "And you? How have you been?"

"Not bad. You?"

"Same here, just that the kids can be quite the handful."

"Congrats, you finally became a mom."

Back when Ava was with Taylor, she had always dreamed of having two kids, a boy and a girl. She believed that being a mom would be her life's greatest joy.

She had thought her love for Taylor meant they were meant to be. But life had other plans.

Still, Ava was happy now.

Taylor's congratulations made her smile. "Thanks," she said, then shifted the topic. "I heard you're still tangled up in that old feud with Grant."

In truth, Ava wasn't just going by hearsay. Grant's secretary had approached her, hoping she could clear up a misunderstanding from the past to help Leonora gain her freedom.

Ava had thought it inappropriate to reach out to Taylor after so many years, especially since their relationship hadn't been that deep to begin with. If it had been, their love wouldn't have crumbled so easily.

But running into Taylor that evening felt like an opportunity to set things straight. She hoped he could finally let go of the past and move on from his feud with Grant.

Life is meant to be enjoyed in the present.

Yet Taylor couldn't admit to such a thing and earnestly denied it, "No, nothing like that."

Admitting it would be too embarrassing. Besides, his rivalry with Grant had become a habit, unrelated to anyone else. Sometimes, people are masters at deceiving themselves.

Seeing Taylor's denial, Ava smiled, "Whether it's true or not isn't my concern. But since we've bumped into each other, let me clear up the past, on Grant's behalf."

"Grant and I never had anything. I was just angry with you, wanting to see how much you cared. Knowing you and Grant didn't get along, I purposely went to his room to provoke you."

"Little did I know you'd take it seriously, refuse to hear me out, and fight with Grant. You made me disappear from your life."

"After that, you wouldn't take my calls, probably ignored my emails too. There's no reason for me to lie now, so it's best you move on. As for your feud with your uncle, I won't interfere, but I advise you not to drag innocent girls into it."

"You're really wronging her."

Going over events from over a decade ago felt like recounting a past life's tale, highlighting Ava's own immaturity and recklessness at the time.

She never imagined that her actions would, years later, unfairly implicate another girl.
