30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 487

Taylor's serious promise made Leonora feel like she might have been overreacting, seeing danger where there was none.

Despite his reassurances, she couldn't shake her fear. The stark difference in their social standings loomed large; to Taylor, crushing her and her family would be as easy as flicking away a bug.

Leonora stared at Taylor for a few moments, then finally spoke up, "I'm scared that if I upset you, you'd take it out on my parents."

Her vulnerability was laid bare to Taylor from the very beginning.

At her admission, Taylor chuckled softly, "Can't you think a little better of me? Assume the best for once?"

Seeing Taylor in a good mood, Leonora didn't want to ruin it. "Alright, alright, my bad for being so paranoid. I apologize. Let's drop it."

When she offered her apology, Taylor's face lit up. "Just a verbal apology?"

Leonora blushed, her voice dropping. "I'm still not fully recovered, haven't even been discharged yet."

Taylor knew exactly what he wanted, and Leonora was all too aware of it.

With a shy air about her, Taylor gently lifted her chin and leaned in for a kiss.

Leonora didn't push him away, nor did she close her eyes. She just watched him kiss her with deep affection.

As long as he didn’t lose his mind and retaliate against her parents in the future, Leonora felt a weight lift off her shoulders.

After a passionate kiss, Taylor brought out dinner and started feeding her.

Seeing this, Leonora reached for the utensils, "I can eat by myself."

Taylor scooped up a spoonful of mashed potatoes with gravy and brought it to her lips. "You're not fully healed. Let me feed you."

In taking care of Leonora, Taylor was incredibly attentive.

It seemed looking after Leonora was a form of enjoyment, a way to unwind for him.

Taylor insisted on feeding her, and Leonora didn’t bother arguing. During her stay in the hospital, she felt almost spoiled rotten by Taylor’s attentions.

But, that was something only in his presence.

As Leonora reluctantly accepted being fed, Taylor's eyes sparkled with joy, a feeling even more exhilarating than clinching a major deal.

While feeding her soup, Taylor said, "Arielle, try not to give me such a hard time in the future. No more harsh words."

Taylor brought up her words from that night again, and although Leonora wanted to explain, she found herself at a loss for words.

That night, her words weren't just spoken in anger; they were her truth.

If Taylor could let her go now, despite having forced her into this situation, she wouldn't hold it against him, wouldn't blame him.

But bearing his child was beyond her capabilities.

And what was the deep-seated issue between him and Grant that made him seek such vengeance?

Lost in her thoughts while looking at Taylor, the door suddenly swung open, and a young nurse came in to check her temperature.

Seeing Taylor there with Leonora again, the nurse couldn't help but express her envy, "Miss, your boyfriend is so caring and handsome. You're so lucky."

When the nurse referred to Taylor as her boyfriend, Leonora glanced at him, noticing he seemed indifferent to the misidentification, continuing to feed her.

Leonora then declared she was full.

Taylor wiped her mouth with a napkin while the nurse, checking Leonora’s temperature, remarked, "Miss, you see how attentive your boyfriend is. You really should hold on to him. Your fever has stabilized at 98.6°F; if everything looks good in the morning, you can be discharged."
