30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 475

Any conditions?

Taylor’s offer was just too good to pass up.

But Leonora stayed put, not because she didn’t want anything, but because she wanted out. Plain and simple.

Their eyes locked in a silent battle, with Taylor waiting for her reply. Unblinking, Leonora finally broke the silence, “What if I want to call it quits?”

Taylor’s face darkened instantly.

He’d given her a chance to ask for anything, and here she was, still as stubborn as ever.

Before he could explode, Leonora quickly changed the subject, “I’m starving.”

Taylor’s mood shifted slightly. “Room service should’ve arrived by now. Let’s get dressed,” he said, getting up first.

His day had started off well enough, but the news that Leonora wasn’t pregnant, combined with her sharp words, had soured it.

For the first time in his life, he felt like his emotions were being yanked around.

The feeling was infuriating.

He couldn’t yell at her or scold her, because in the end, he’d be the one feeling terrible.

By the time Leonora got dressed, their dinner had arrived. It was already 8 p.m., and the sky was pitch black.

As Taylor set the table, Leonora unceremoniously plopped down in a chair.

Watching her, he handed her a fork. “Eating is the only thing you ever seem eager about.”

Leonora took the fork and began eating seriously.

Taylor casually served her some food. It was rare for them to sit down and have a meal together.

Midway through dinner, Leonora was already planning to head home, since her shift was over.

But then Taylor dropped a bombshell. “Leonora, why don’t you move in with me?”

Startled, Leonora looked up as Taylor continued, “This apartment is under your name. The deed’s in the desk drawer. It’d be convenient for us, plus it’s close to your parents.”

Despite promising her that she didn’t have to stay over, the thought of her sneaking birth control pills behind his back made him want to keep her closer, to keep an eye on her.

“And the new car today was also for you, to make getting around easier.”

Taylor’s perfectly planned gestures only fueled Leonora’s anger. “Taylor, we agreed, no overnight stays. Why are you asking me to move in? I don’t want your apartment or your car. Take them back!”

“If I need to sign anything, I will.”

She was dead set on breaking up, yet he was thinking about moving in together.

They were on entirely different wavelengths.

And Joselyn’s prediction today had been eerily accurate.

Taylor had already given her everything, even before they broke up.
