30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 471

Out of the blue, Taylor found himself thinking that having someone to chat with, someone to hand you a glass of water, or someone who just smiles at you for no particular reason wasn’t half bad.

But then there was Leonora...

He diverted his gaze back to the road ahead, refusing to let his thoughts wander any further.

It wasn’t until they passed through a traffic light that Taylor let out a chuckle, wondering to himself what on earth he was thinking!

How could anything possibly happen between him and Leonora?

By the time they reached the Southbay neighborhood, it wasn’t even five o’clock yet, and the sun was still blazing in the sky.

Stepping out of the passenger side, Leonora saw Taylor getting out too, and her first instinct was to glance down at his lower half.

Taylor caught her reflexive look immediately.

Walking around the front of the car to her side, Taylor, with a mischievous grin, lifted her chin and teased, “Leonora, what were you looking at?”

Caught in the act, Leonora’s ears turned red, and she quickly turned her face away, trying to bluff her way out with, “I wasn’t looking at anything.”

Despite her embarrassment, the thought of their little exchange in the car brought a smile to her face.

Trying to hold back her laughter, Taylor gently massaged the back of her neck before taking her hand and leading her to the elevator.

Leonora wasn’t particularly short, but Taylor towered over her, his hand enveloping hers entirely.

The natural way he took her hand made her heart skip a beat.

It seemed like Taylor had grown accustomed to holding her hand, unbothered by the possibility of onlookers.

Feeling that this level of intimacy wasn’t suitable for them, Leonora tried to pull her hand away, but as the elevator doors opened, Taylor led her inside with a firmer grip than before.

It appeared Taylor saw right through Leonora’s hesitation, making it impossible for her to pull away.

Inside the elevator, as Taylor answered a call, the silence felt heavy. Leonora found herself nervously darting her eyes around, feeling the sweat forming on her palms.

She wondered what Taylor must be feeling, holding her hand like this, especially as he had been sending mixed signals lately, even bringing her things to take home.

While pondering these thoughts, Taylor finished his call just as the elevator reached their floor.

Stepping out, Leonora reminded him, “We’re home.”

“Home?” Taylor liked the sound of that. “What about it?”

Seeing him act as if nothing was amiss, she lifted their intertwined hands and said, “My hand’s all sweaty.”

Raising her hand, Taylor tightened his grip and retorted, “So we can’t hold hands at home? Can’t hold hands if they’re sweaty?”

At a loss for words against Taylor’s bold reasoning, Leonora relented, “Fine, fine, hold it if you want!”

With that, she led the way, opening the door.

Following behind, Taylor’s smile widened at the sight of her slender figure.

In truth, he had noticed Leonora’s discomfort the moment he took her hand but didn’t let go.
