Estrella playfully rolled over, straddling him and cradling his face in her hands. "Honey, are you still mad? If you're over it, I'll go grab us some dinner."
At the sound of another sweet "honey" from Estrella, Jason couldn’t hold back anymore and burst into laughter.
His face flushed red, ears burning, as he teased Estrella by pinching her chin. "Estrella, you're doing this on purpose, aren't you? Trying to make me blush?"
Seeing Jason's reaction, Estrella laughed too and playfully slapped his shoulder. "Weren't you the one demanding I call you that last night? I did it, so no blushing, no shyness!"
With her hands still cupping his face, she teased about his ears being so hot. "Jason, you're such a softie. Imagine if a girl flirted with you outside, you'd be totally lost."
Jason wrapped his arms around Estrella's waist, pulling her close. "Don't worry, no one else has your charm, or could ever interest me the way you do."
Throughout the years, countless women had tried to seduce Jason, some even bold enough to strip as soon as they entered his room, but he had always turned them away. His heart belonged solely to Estrella.
"To me, no other woman compares to you. None of them have your beauty, your presence, or your way of making my heart skip."
Hearing his heartfelt words, Estrella curiously asked, "And what exactly is my 'way'?"
Jason whispered something sweet into her ear, making her laugh. "The feeling’s mutual!" she playfully added. "So, are we good now? If you're not mad anymore, let's go eat."
Having been successfully cheered up by Estrella, Jason gave in, planting a gentle kiss on her lips before accompanying her to dinner.
At the dining table, they sat side by side—Jason on the left, Estrella on the right.
While serving her food, Estrella, puzzled, asked Jason about the medication she found in his drawer earlier. She hadn’t been snooping for her phone in bed on purpose, but when she stumbled upon his Ativan, she realized he must have been taking it for a while, not just recently.
Estrella's sudden question caught Jason off guard, but he quickly regained his composure, explaining with a smile, "Just some trouble sleeping, but it's been better lately. Haven't needed them these past few days."
Ever since learning he wasn't Landon's biological son, Jason had been struggling with insomnia, resorting to medication for relief after his body couldn’t take the strain anymore.
The room fell into a serene silence as Jason spoke, the atmosphere filled with the warmth of their dinner.
Estrella, understanding the depth of Jason's struggles, suggested, "How about I bring Isaac over this afternoon? Or we could spend some time at Sandalwood Oasis together."
