30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 411

It had been over a year, but Keith finally woke up. Things were bound to get easier from here on out.

Glancing at Drew, Jason asked, "How's Keith holding up?"

Drew replied, "Aside from needing some time to fully recover, he's mentally sharp and hasn't forgotten a thing. First thing he did was ask where you were, boss." He then added, "Oh, and Keith mentioned you don’t need to go see him; he's planning to come to Ravenwood himself."

Sitting at his desk, Jason responded coolly, "Fine by me." The old man sure knows how to take care of himself.

After giving Drew a few more tasks, Drew left to handle them, closing the door softly behind him. Jason's mind wandered back to Drew's update about Keith's awakening.

His thoughts drifted back two years to when he visited the River family to uncover more about his parents. When Keith learned he had a grandson, he was beside himself with excitement.

He was so worked up he couldn't even speak at first.

Later, Keith shared a lot about Jason's parents, furious that Landon hadn't returned Jason to the River family, accusing him of cutting off the family line. He demanded that Jason sever all ties with the Landon and Estrella families and insisted Jason take the River surname.

Jason didn't agree. After all, Keith's story was just one side. Besides, he couldn't abandon Estrella or fight her for their son, Isaac. Estrella was his world.

Keith's anger led to an illness, prompting Jason to placate him with false assurances.

During a hospital visit, Keith realized Jason had lied and that he was still in contact with Estrella. Keith erupted, accusing Jason of betraying his true heritage for Landon, who had sullied his parents' reputation and tried to erase his bloodline from the River family.

The day was stormy, mirroring Keith's rage.

Calm amidst the chaos, Jason stated he could agree to anything but leaving Estrella and Isaac was out of the question.

Keith, gasping and clutching his chest, revealed his knowledge of Estrella’s lineage and made implied threats to her safety, showing Jason photographs of Estrella under surveillance, some even depicting her in danger, proving he had planted spies around her.

The realization of Keith's extensive spy network left Jason's skin crawling and his mood darkening.

Keith admitted he would have acted against Estrella long ago if not for her being the mother of Jason's child, and if she had been Landon's daughter instead of Cole's.

Facing Keith's threats, Jason asked how many spies were around Estrella, but Keith refused to answer, only threatening to sever ties if Jason persisted in his relationship with her.

Their argument escalated until Keith, overwhelmed with rage, collapsed.

This forced Jason to send a misleading message to Estrella and begin a hunt for Keith's spies, cautious of triggering any drastic actions from Keith, delaying his return to Ravenwood.

After capturing several spies and extracting confessions, Jason found himself caught in a web of familial loyalty and betrayal.

Now, nearly three decades into his life, Jason questioned the motives behind Landon's actions, feeling trapped in a moral dilemma.

Despite the complexities, his resolve to protect Estrella and Isaac remained unwavering.

As his phone rang, pulling him back to the present, Jason quickly transitioned back to work mode.

By evening, yearning to see Estrella, he offered to pick her up, only to learn she had to work late and would get a ride home with Joshua.
