30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 391

Isaac asked his question slowly, and Jason couldn’t help but grin wider. His son actually thought he was a robot. How adorable was that?

On the other end of the phone, Estrella was brushing her teeth, effortlessly spinning a tale, “Absolutely! Buddy, you’re my special robot! A unique creation of Science Innovations and TechGenius. Don’t worry! And yep, your uncle is indeed your dad—he's the chief of the robots.”

Estrella's whimsical stories made Autumn chuckle awkwardly. She turned to Jason, “Jason, don't mind her! Estrella has always been a bit out there, you know. So, Isaac has always thought he'd grow up to be Superman or maybe even Ultraman. He's really looking forward to it.”

Jason laughed, “Mom, it's fine. Estrella spinning these stories for Isaac is great. His childhood is going to be way more interesting than other kids’.”

Isaac, after hearing a few more of Estrella's tall tales, contentedly hung up the phone. Then, turning to Autumn, he said, “Grandma, Mom said I'm still a robot and that I can still save the world.”

“Of course, whatever your mom says is right,” Autumn replied, then glanced at Jason, “Jason, don't take it to heart! The kid is so gullible.”

Jason grinned, “Mom, I don't mind at all.”

He almost confessed to Autumn how incredibly naive and easy to fool their kid was!

After chatting with Jason, Autumn then addressed Isaac, “Isaac, now that you know he's your dad, you'll have to start calling him 'dad,' you know?”

“After all, even robots and Ultramen have dads.”

Hearing Autumn's words, Isaac shyly looked up at Jason, a bit embarrassed. He had that same spark as Estrella. Nevertheless, he promised Autumn, “I understand, Grandma.” Then, shyly, he called out to Jason, “Dad.”

Upon hearing Isaac call him dad, Jason's eyes welled up, quickly responding, “I'm here.”

Isaac, embarrassed, buried his face in Autumn's embrace. Jason, both surprised and touched, regretted missing out on these two years of Isaac's growth, feeling he owed both Isaac and Estrella. Then, turning to Autumn, he said, “Mom, thank you.”

Seeing Jason's emotional reaction, Autumn sighed, “In the end, it's my fault. So, Jason, you don't need to thank me. Regardless, I just hope you and Estrella can work things out and raise Isaac well.”

Jason nodded, “Mom, I will.”

The sound of Jason calling her “mom” was music to Autumn's ears, a reminder of the challenging years he'd faced. After their talk, Isaac looked up at her and asked, “Grandma, why didn't dad come back before? Why didn't you tell me?”

Isaac's voice was soft, his pace steady, clearly inheriting Estrella's easy-going nature. Autumn, slightly annoyed, explained, “It's because just like you, he was working at the Secret Service. You both had to keep things under wraps.”

To make sure Jason understood, she elaborated, “Isaac never talks about school or his friends. It's like he's training for a secret mission. That's why Estrella jokes he's attending the Secret Service Kindergarten.”
