30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 362

Estrella stared at Jason for a long moment before breaking into a smile. "You'll find out when we get to the cemetery."

Her casual demeanor had Jason pulling her closer, muttering, "You're way too laid-back."

It seemed like she was the only one who could stay so calm about something this big.

Turning to him, Estrella looked up and said, "I'm so tired."

She then rested her head on Jason's shoulder.

Seeing her like that, Jason scooped her up and gently laid her next to Isaac, tucking her in with a blanket. He then lay down on the other side, tenderly stroking her face. Despite the chaos Catrina had caused, life had been pretty peaceful lately.

The next morning, after wrapping up a client meeting in her office, Sandy knocked on Estrella's door. "Ms. Estrella, there's someone here to see you. No appointment. She said her last name is Shen."

Shen?

Estrella furrowed her brows. "Let her in."

"Okay," Sandy replied, heading out to inform the visitor.

Moments later, the door opened again, and Holly walked in.

Estrella watched her until Holly pulled up a chair and sat across from her. Only then did Estrella set aside her documents.

Holly's visit was a surprise, but not entirely unexpected.

With a self-deprecating laugh, Holly admitted, "I never thought I'd be here, asking you this in person." She cut to the chase, "Estrella, can you drop the lawsuit against my mom?"

Before Estrella could respond, Holly continued, "I'm really sorry about what happened to your son. My mom was just... lost in the past with your dad."

Holly was smart to use Cole as an excuse and avoid pleading with Jason, who would never agree given her past threats against Estrella.

Holly's transparency only drew a smirk from Estrella. "Seven years ago, you framed me for something I didn’t do. Last year, you tried to pin Serene's attempted suicide on me, and now you've kidnapped my son. Your mom's 'moment of confusion' seems to last quite a while."

This wasn't just a moment of confusion; it was a lifetime of scheming.

Dropping her smile, Estrella's voice turned cold. "Holly, forget about dropping the case. If there's nothing else, you can leave now."

Harming her son and expecting forgiveness was a fantasy.

Holly's demeanor darkened. "Estrella, I've already served time for that fire seven years ago, and Serene's incident was an accident. No one wanted to hurt her."

Estrella shot back, "Holly, you know me. Do I seem like someone who's easy to talk to?"

She had never been a saint and would never let anyone who threatened her or Isaac off the hook. If she hadn't been holding back, Catrina would already be locked up.

Meeting Estrella's gaze, Holly said, "Estrella, holding onto this grudge is only making things harder for both of us." She paused, then stood up abruptly.

Estrella, anticipating her next move, quickly said, "Your apologies mean nothing to me. If you want to reduce your mom's sentence, you should be finding a good lawyer, not wasting your time here."
