30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 354

As Korey's voice trailed off, Estrella and Jason instinctively turned to look at each other.

“Did Catrina take Isaac?”

Otherwise, why would Korey make such a random call?

On the other end, Catrina sounded calm, even managing a light chuckle, “Estrella and Jason, you’ve found your way to our old place, haven’t you?”

Korey asked, “Mom, where are you now?”

Still chuckling softly, Catrina replied, “Since you’ve come this far, why don’t you all come over?”

Then, Catrina gave Korey her location. It was her family’s old factory address.

As she hung up the phone, Holly clenched her fists, her eyes reddening with anger.

Hadn’t her mom promised to leave everything behind and start fresh for the sake of their family? Why had she slipped up again? By abducting someone else’s child, what did all her sacrifices amount to? Dragging around her ailing body, bearing a baseless accusation—what was the point?

Korey’s call left Jason and Estrella watching the siblings closely.

Clearly, this ordeal was another tangled mess with the Ledford family.

After the call, Korey looked at Estrella and Jason. “Let’s go. I’ll take you to get your kid.”

Following Korey’s car, Estrella called Cole. When he heard that Isaac was taken by Catrina, he fell into a lengthy silence before finally saying, “Your mom and I are on our way.”

Estrella didn’t press for details, sensing there was more to the story.

By the time they arrived at the old Deckard family factory, it was already past 8 PM.

They had expected ruins, evidence of the Deckard family’s downfall. Instead, they found a well-maintained courtyard and a staffed security booth at the entrance. The factory’s interior was even tidier than in its operational days, with old regulatory posters and employee portraits still hanging on the walls.

Catrina’s family had once been a major player in Ravenwood’s business scene, only to gradually fade due to outdated technology. Later, her cousin made some headway by starting his own company.

Spotting a portrait of her dad, Cole, labeled as an outstanding manager from his years of service there, Estrella was transfixed until Catrina’s voice snapped her back to reality.

“Everyone’s here,” Catrina’s voice carried a chuckle. “Even Cole.”

Estrella looked up but instead of seeing Catrina, a video projection of her greeted them, waving hello.

Korey interjected, “Mom, where are you? Is Isaac with you? Just hand over the kid and we can talk about everything else.”

Upon Korey’s insistence, a small screen appeared within the larger projection, showing Isaac sleeping peacefully. Catrina remarked, “Isaac’s asleep, such a good boy.”

Korey’s concern was palpable: “Mom, which room are you and the child in?”
