30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 328

Ever since Catrina took her in, the Ledford family became Angel's only refuge, her true home.

But in the Ledford household, it was Grayson she leaned on the most. He was the attentive one, even more nurturing than Catrina. Grayson was the one who helped Angel with her homework, attended her parent-teacher meetings, and despite not having any kids of his own, he showed the makings of an exceptional father.

Angel clung to his shirt, and Grayson didn't remove her hand until they reached the front door. He called out to her twice, but seeing she was sound asleep, he carried her inside.

“She’s out cold!” Catrina hurried over as Grayson brought Angel in. “Quick, get her to bed before she catches a cold.”

From the moment Angel was adopted into the Ledford family, Catrina treated her like her own daughter, ensuring she had the best of everything, despite Angel technically being her and Grayson's grand-niece.

Over at the Dorvold household, Estrella and Jason were home too, tucking Isaac into his little bed. Watching him smile in his sleep, Estrella leaned down and kissed his forehead. “Little rascal, you've got good taste, sticking close to Starlight.”

Jason shrugged off his coat. “Starlight of the Ledfords has a special aura; no wonder Isaac loves playing with her.”

Indeed, Angel, who was brought into the family by Grayson's mom, had a distinct charm compared to other girls her age – she was well-behaved, calm, and had a certain spiritual presence.

Estrella hung Jason’s coat on the rack. “When Starlight finally marries, Grayson’s going to be a wreck. He’s invested as much time and energy in her as any biological parent would.”

Jason responded, “By then, he’ll probably have his own kids to keep him busy.”

Their casual banter was like that of an old married couple.

As Estrella finished hanging the coat, Jason wrapped his arms around her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder. “Babe, you’re worried about someone else’s efforts. How about showing some concern for me? Keith just left me a rather colorful voicemail.”

Estrella, unfazed, said, “That's your own doing. Afraid of a little scolding?”

Jason pulled her closer, his voice deep. “I'm more worried about losing you to one of your many admirers.”

Estrella couldn’t help but laugh. “Look at you, turning things around…”

Before she could finish, Jason's lips met hers, and he spun her around to face him.

After a passionate kiss, Jason teased playfully, “Babe, let’s give Isaac a little sister.”

Estrella smiled and agreed. In a playful gesture, Jason tapped her bottom. “Hop on.”

Gracefully, Estrella jumped, wrapping her legs around his waist.
