30 Days Till I Divorce My Husband novel Chapter 302

Erik agreed to tie the knot, and by the next afternoon, Bryce was back at the family mansion.

As he walked in, the place was buzzing. His mom was helping the housekeeper set the table, while Keith and Amber were already seated, ready to dig into dinner.

The moment Keith saw Bryce, his usually calm demeanor turned fiery. He grabbed an empty bowl and chucked it at Bryce. "Oh, look who decided to remember he has a family! Finally decided to show up, huh?"

"You think hiding out will solve anything? What’s the point of raising you if you’re not gonna carry on the family name?”

Keith’s rant made it sound like the Nelsons had raised Jason and Bryce solely to continue the family lineage.

Before Bryce could get a word in, Keith, with a stern look, barked, “Clear your schedule for tomorrow. You’re meeting old Lexi’s granddaughter.”

Old Lexi, a long-time buddy of Keith’s, had a granddaughter who’d just graduated college and was, in their eyes, prime marriage material. The two pals thought Bryce and her might hit it off, so they decided to play matchmaker.

Dodging the bowl, Bryce, one hand in his pocket and the other brushing off his sleeve, said with a mischievous grin, “I’m getting married.”

The room fell silent. Amber and his mom looked up in shock, and even Keith’s expression went stiff.

The housekeeper, bringing over the soup, stopped in her tracks.

Was she hearing things, or was Mr. Jason talking nonsense?

Bryce, who’d never brought a girl home, was suddenly getting married? To whom?

Seeing everyone’s stunned faces, Bryce scratched his head and said, “I’m serious. I’m getting married, so you can stop setting me up on blind dates.”

When Bryce repeated himself, the room came back to life, all eyes fixed on him.

His mom, skeptical, said, “Bryce, what’s this? Another one of your tricks? Save your breath. It’s not gonna work.”

His grandmother, rolling her eyes, added, “A lifelong bachelor decides to marry out of the blue? Who’d believe that? And seriously, do you think any girl would fall for your charms?”

Keith, full of disdain, said, “Stop playing games. Just go meet Lexi’s granddaughter tomorrow.”

Seeing that no one believed him, Bryce couldn’t help but feel a mix of frustration and amusement. He pulled out a chair across from Keith and faced them. “Why does no one ever take me seriously?”

For the first time, his mom saw a different side to him and decided to give him a chance. “Alright then, who’s the lucky girl? Who are you marrying?”

Without hesitation, Bryce said, “Erik. I’m marrying Erik.”
