You Had Me, You Lost Me, You'll Never Find Me novel Chapter 105

Valerie yelled, "You owe them an astronomical amount of money, and you still have the nerve to complain? I told you not to go looking for Mr. Wyatt, but you marched right over there and came back drowning in debt. What am I supposed to do with you? You're going to be the death of me!" She broke down into sobs.

Hugo rushed over to help her sit. "Why are you panicking? If Ashton really wanted to hurt me, he would've done it by now. He wouldn't be treating us to dinner. Relax, everything's going to be fine. Even if it's bad, Sylvia will handle it. A little pillow talk and it'll be wiped clean..."

Valerie wiped her eyes. "I heard the Wyatt family is marrying into the Winslet family. That Winslet girl is supposed to be lovely. Won't this ruin things for her?"

Hugo let out a harsh bark of laughter. "Valerie, have you lost your mind? Who cares about the Winslet family?"

Realizing she'd slipped up, Valerie hastily changed the subject.

A moment later, there was a knock at the door, and attendants brought several sets of high-end clothes into the suite's private dressing room.

Hugo tugged at Valerie's sleeve. "See that, Valerie? These rich people wear clothes that cost thousands of dollars casually. Ordering a few extra dishes is nothing."

-

The car pulled up to the entrance of The Oyster Club. Ashton and Sylvia stepped out, both still dressed in their stunning formal wear. The maître d' personally escorted them to Ashton's exclusive suite.

The second Sylvia walked through the door, she spotted Valerie and Hugo sitting at the table.

She froze instantly. Ashton acted as if it were perfectly normal, leading her inside by the hand.

While they had been en route, Hugo had already ordered a massive feast. Seeing Ashton, he immediately rushed over like a fawning puppy.

"Ashton, you made it! A few dishes are still on the way. Do you want to add anything else to the order?"

Ashton took the menu and casually handed it to Sylvia. "See anything you want?"

Sylvia furiously slapped it away. "Why did you bring them here?"

Sylvia stood perfectly still.

The tension in the room thickened into something unbreathable.

Ashton stared at her with dead eyes.

Finally, Sylvia forced her legs to move. She sat down beside him. Ashton offered a stiff nod across the table. "Valerie. Have a seat."

Valerie sat down awkwardly. Sylvia immediately snapped, "Valerie, didn't I tell you guys to stay in the suburbs? Why are you here?"

Hugo scoffed. "Sylvia, that's incredibly cold. You're living it up in the big city dripping in diamonds, while you hired goons to keep me locked down in that miserable rural dump. Do you have any idea what my life has been like these past few months?"

"We might have different dads, but we share the same mother. You can't treat me like this. Do you know how much money this family spent on your education..."
