Chapter 27
Noah nodded, trusting Felicity’s assurance. He didn’t fully understand her plans, but he sensed they were significant.
“Okay, I won’t interfere for now,” he agreed, though still feeling unsettled about the picture with Jonah.
Felicity didn’t know Noah too well but he didn’t look like one to make empty promises.
Recalling their earlier conversation, Felicity spoke up, “You mentioned meeting your parents. When will that be?”
“When are you free?”
“I have a shoot tomorrow. I’ll check my schedule,” Felicity replied as she tried to wriggle free from Noah’s grip, but he held on tighter.
“Let’s go to bed,” Noah suggested.
“I need to take a bath first,” Felicity insisted.
“Then let’s bathe together,” Noah countered with a mischievous grin.
“Get off me, you pervert!” Felicity exclaimed, forcefully stepping on his toe to loosen his grip, then quickly escaping to the bathroom before he could recover from the pain.
Noah laughed as he settled on the bed, taking out some paperwork to go through. Moments later, the bathroom door opened, and Felicity stepped out.
His throat went dry as he watched Felicity step out putting on a short and a T-shirt, leaving her fair legs on display. She wasn’t wearing a bra, so he could faintly discern the outline of her nipple.
Before he knew it, a certain part of his body began to stir. He quickly averted his gaze, fearing he might lose control of himself and do something unthinkable.
T”You better hold sister-in-law tight. See how pretty she is. You might become a divorcee by the end of the year if you don’t show her your capabilities.”
Ian’s words echoed in Noah’s head, casting a sour feeling over his chest. Over the past few days spent with Felicity, he had noticed significant changes within himself.

Initially, he found her intriguing, his heart filled with insatiable curiosity. He had believed that once he had trapped her and uncovered all her secrets, the feeling would dissipate, but he was mistaken.
Instead, he had found himself growing deeply attached to her, his curiosity only intensifying. Until he had unravelled every mystery surrounding her, he wouldn’t allow any other man to take her away.
“What kind of man do you like?” Noah asked out of the blue.
Felicity, who was preparing to sleep, paused at his question. It caught her off guard, but she decided to answer it anyway.
She gazed up at the ceiling, contemplating the question. In her mind, she thought of everything Caster was not and what she dreamed he was.
“I like a man who isn’t afraid to express himself, someone who cares deeply about the one he loves, and someone who is loyal. He should hold me when I’m down, defend me even when I’m wrong, protect me when needed. I want someone good,” Felicity answered.
Noah watched and listened earnestly to every word she said, taking it to heart.
As she began to doze off, he smiled softly and adjusted the blanket over her. “I will try,” he murmured quietly, making a silent promise to himself.
The next day, Felicity arrived on set to find Lilian waiting for her outside.
“Lilian, you’re here!” Felicity greeted and hugged her.
“I’m sorry I haven’t been around. I’ve been down with a cold,” Lilian explained her absence over the past couple of days.
“That’s okay,” Felicity replied.
“I saw the photo you uploaded. You’ve gone viral. I’ve had agencies contacting me, wanting you to model for their products,” Lilian informed Felicity.
Felicity was surprised. She didn’t think there was anything particularly special about the photo she had taken. Was it really that good-looking?

As they both entered the set, they heard the director exclaim, “Here’s our star!” Felicity looked up to see him grinning at her. “The ratings for our movie tripled yesterday after the photo you uploaded.”
“Really?” Felicity’s eyes widened in surprise.
The director nodded excitedly. “Yes, we even got a new sponsor. A whopping twenty- five million dollars was donated because of you. We should use your face for the cover of the movie.”
The entire set erupted into excitement. This meant that the movie would gain even more exposure than they had anticipated, which was a great thing for everyone involved.
“Miss Felicity is amazing someone yelled, and everyone laughed in agreement.
Felicity scoffed at the sudden shift from hatred to adoration because of money. Human beings were fickle creatures.
She found more comfort in those who openly displayed their disdain for her, like Rita. “What’s all the fuss about! What’s so special about her photo? Rita challenged. “I could take a picture that would get more engagement. Will my face be added to the cover
too?”
“Miss Rita, why don’t you take the photo and let’s see which one gains more exposure?” someone suggested.
Rita huffed and looked away, knowing that Felicity’s followers surpassed hers by thousands. Felicity’s page had been steadily increasing for some time now. It was clear that her picture wouldn’t receive as much engagement.
“Georgia should do it. She has more followers anyway.” Rita announced, directing her gaze at Georgia. “Second Miss Orion, why don’t you use your influence to help our movie?”
Georgia, caught off guard while glaring at Felicity, couldn’t believe what she was hearing. She had expected rumors about Jonah and Felicity to circulate after the photo they posted, but to her dismay, the opposite had occurred. Felicity was now trending.
People were attempting to emulate her character’s appearance online because they found her attractive.
Once again, Georgia’s plan had backfired, and now Caster was breathing down her neck

She had hoped to win the Best Actress award this year, but now, she feared Felicity would steal that away from her too.
“Of course, Georgia answered, pulling out her phone to type some words about the upcoming movie. “Done.”
Within minutes, became the most searched term on the internet, even though the
movie wasn’t out yet
Georgia smirked as she watched the engagement on her post skyrocket. She reminded herself that she was still more influential than Felicity in the entertainment circle. Some of her actor friends had even reposted her post, further boosting its reach.
“Ooh, Georgia, our blossoming rose has done it. Our movie is the most searched topic on the internet!” One of the crew members exclaimed, prompting everyone to shower Georgia with compliments.
Feeling content, Georgia strutted over to Felicity, who was having her makeup done. She dismissed the makeup artist and started arranging Felicity’s hair through the mirror.
Leaning in close until her lips were next to Felicity’s car, Georgia whispered, “You see, you’re not that special. I’ll always be better than you.” When she noticed Felicity. remained unfazed, she added, “I don’t know who your sugar daddy is, but when I find out, I’ll make sure the whole world knows what a disgusting person you are.”
“Sugar daddy?” Felicity laughed lightly. She held Georgia’s hand and gradually dug her fingers into it. “Don’t delude yourself, Georgia. While you’re busy obsessing over me, I’ll be living my best life. Keep playing with fire, and you’ll get burned. Remember, karma’s address is right around the corner, and it delivers without mercy. Watch your back, your day of reckoning is coming.”
Georgia winced and tried to pull away in fright, but Felicity held on tightly, her nails. breaking through Georgia’s skin.
“Are you insane? Let go,” Georgia winced but Felicity didn’t budge and continued staring at her with a smile.
“Felicity, it’s time for your-” Lilian’s voice came, and Felicity immediately let go of Georgia’s hand.
Seeing Georgia towering over Felicity, who was sitting down, Lilian thought Georgia

was trying to intimidate her. She flared up and snapped, “You two-faced witch! How dare you show your face to her after everything you’ve done? Go away,” Lilian stepped between them, throwing accusing glances at Georgia.

“You don’t know the person you’re defending. She’s the one who’s two-faced,” Georgia pointed at Felicity. “Look what she did to me!” She showed her bleeding arm, but Lilian slapped it away.
“For all I know, you did that to yourself. Stop trying to defame Felicity and leave,” Lilian pushed Georgia slightly to urge her to go.
Georgia glared at them for the humiliation before storming away to tend to her aching
arm.
After Georgia left, Lilian turned to Felicity, concern evident in her eyes. “Are you alright? She came looking for trouble, didn’t she?”
Felicity stood up from her seat, ready for the shoot. “Don’t worry, I took care of it.”
“Did you really do that to her arm?” Lilian asked curiously, noticing Felicity’s unperturbed expression.
“Yes,” Felicity admitted without hesitation. “And this is just the start. I will inflict more pain on her.”
As Felicity left, Lilian couldn’t help but notice how much she had changed.
