Wicked Scheme Lost a problem Got a man novel Chapter 157

Chapter 157
Felicity didn’t wake up till the next day.
Noah made sure she was given the best care possible. He had her transferred to the best room in the hospital. His men guarded the hospital like the world’s most precious treasure lay within. No one came in or out without proper inspection. Overnight, the hospital became the most secure place in the city
He had people bring in necessary sanitary items for them to stay clean. He also ordered food for every one of his men who guarded the hospital.
The nurses and doctors were also extra careful when attending to Felicity. Why wouldn’t they when they had six pairs of eyes scrutinising their every move? One wrong move and they would be dead.
The hospital had eventually figured out who Noah was and almost shit their pants. The great Elsworth was in their lowly establishment. They were scared shitless.
The once rowdy hospital halls were filled with hush whispers as they waited for Felicity to wake up and leave with her husband-a secret they couldn’t even tell their families. Only then would the former ambiance return
After sleeping for a whole day. Felicity woke up late in the afternoon, her eyes groggy-
She took in the white room and the faint smell of disinfectant and immediately knew where she was. The smell was all too familiar for her to forget.
Memories of what had transpired slowly came back and she finally registered the sling restricting her left arm. Karma was a b***h, wasn’t she? Not too long ago she had taunted the Walkers in the hospital and now here she was.
Felicity’s gaze swept through the room and was surprised to find three sleeping men in her room, all looking haggard.
Noah was slumped in a chair beside her bed, resting his head on her mattress, his face turned towards her sound asleep. There were noticeable bags around his eyes and lines of exhaustion on his face.
lan and Axel were sleeping sitting up on the couch at the side. Axel’s head was tilted back in an awkward position from the top of the couch while Ian’s head was resting on his shoulder.
Felicity almost cooed at the sight but she didn’t want to wake them, not yet. She looked around and found her phone lying
the nightstand. Taking it, she quickly snapped several pictures of the scene, grinning like a maniae as she did.
On
This would be a great bargaining tool in the future. She moved closer, zooming in on Noah’s parted pink lips when his eyes suddenly fluttered open, causing her to yelp and drop her phone
“Felicity?” Noah groaned softly, blinking at her. His eyes were disoriented like he hadn’t quite woken up yet and he rubbed them gently as he yawned. He was in the middle of massaging his neck when he paused. He glanced at her startled eyes again before shooting up in joy. “Oh my God. You’re awake!”
His yell jolted Axel and lan awake too and they both glanced around the room at alert, ready to pounice. But when their gaze landed on Felicity, their shoulders relaxed and they came closer to the bed.
lan was the first to talk, pouting his lips. “Sister-in-law, you scared life out of me.”
Felicity, feeling surprisingly chipper, given the circumstances, fired back with a smile. “You seem pretty
alive to me”
“She can make jokes h’s confirmed, she’s fully healed.” lan replied with a smile of his own
Felicity would have done a small bow if her whole body wasn’t aching. Her eyes darted to Noah who gazed at her like she was the only thing in the world. She recognized the relief and happiness in his eyes as he gazed at her face.

“I’m line now,” She said, cupping his face and he leaned into her touch. They were both wrapped in their own bubble until Tan cleared his throat.
“I’ll go drag the doctor here.” He said and left the room. Axel way about to follow after him so the couple could have alone time but Felicity stopped him.
“Axel” she called out, making him pause. Her eyes scammed his body for any sign of injury and she exhaled when she couldn’t find any “Are you alright?”
Axel’s fists clenched tightly at his side at her question. His gaze hardened as he turned to her. She’d just woken up after a day and the first thing she asked about was his well-being. What was wrong with her?
“You’re the one who got shot. Why are you asking if I’m fine?”
“There were two gunshots. And I got shot once. I wanted to know if you’re injured.”
“I’m not.” Axel answered, finding it difficult to look her in the eyes. “The shooter missed the second time since you decided to become a human shield”
“Speaking of which, next time let Axel get shot. It’s nothing any of us can’t handle. Noah flicked her nose as punishment but his eyes were dead serious
Felicity rubbed her stinging nose, glaring at him. “I handled it just fine,” she then asked in concern. “Do you guys get shot at often?”
“It comes with the family name.” Noah shrugged before kissing her forehead. “But you shouldn’t worry about that.”
Felicity planned to confront him about that later, knowing now was not the time. Her glance landed at Axel who was fidgeting at the side of the room
“I saved your life twice now, Axel.” She told him with a smug grin.
Axel
gave a stiff nod. “I owe you. What do you want in return?”
“Just be less mean to me from now on,” Felicity told him with a warning tone. “And wipe that pitiful look off your face. It doesn’t suit you.”
“I’ll try.” Axel finally mustered a smile before approaching the door. He said over his shoulder. “Thank you for everything And I’m glad you’re fine.” He left the room without another word.
Felicity watched him leave with gladness in her heart. She was glad very glad that she didn’t lose someone that mattered to her. She hadn’t regretted what she’d done and would do it again in a heartbeat
“He cried,
ou know,” Noah stated, referring to Axel. “He might try to hide it but he really cares for you.
Felicity snorted. “He really cried? I would have paid money to see that. Did you cry too?”
“Just a little.” Noah joked, trying to feign a nonchalant look
Felicity burst out laughing before pulling him into a tight hug. She murmured into his neck, “I missed you” She didn’t know if it was possible to miss someone while unconscious, but she did. She missed him immensely.
Noah wanted to pull away, not wanting to accidentally open her stitches but Felicity didn’t seem to care as her grip around him tightened. He resigned struggling with her and positioned self in a way he wouldn’t hurt her.
“I’m sorry you had to wake up to our dishevelled faces” Noah chuckled.
“I wouldn’t have asked for anything more.” She replied before pressing a kiss on his neck.
