"Not at all," Mira replied. "We'll adopt your most advanced systems, scrap any outdated management practices, and infuse it with our own Mavarian business culture."
"Deal," James said. "Once Solflare National Bank matures, we can borrow some of your strategies. The two banks will learn from each other and grow together."
With that settled, Mira approached Jude about the new bank. He didn't even hesitate, agreeing with absolute enthusiasm.
He even eagerly asked if he could buy more equity.
Next, Owen tasked Jude with scouting out top-tier talent. With the groundwork laid, Mira and her team finally prepared to head home.
There was no longer any need for disguises, so they all reverted to their true appearances.
As James dropped them off at the airport, they ran straight into Vivienne Voss and her brother, who were also catching a flight back.
Jude had mentioned earlier that Vivienne had blown through all her capital, leaving her completely broke—she couldn't even afford a plane ticket home.
The astronomical losses had utterly shattered Vivienne mentally and physically, landing her in the hospital. Out of options, she had been forced to beg her family for help.
As a result, her family had dispatched her brother, Justin Voss, to drag her back.
Seeing Mira's group, the Voss siblings froze. Suddenly, as if struck by lightning, Vivienne started screaming. "What are you doing here?! Why are you here?!"
Mira couldn't be bothered to respond, but Hank stepped up. "And why exactly shouldn't we be here?"
Justin hurriedly apologized. "I'm so sorry. My sister suffered a mental breakdown. Please don't take it personally."
Gripping Vivienne's arm tightly, he tried to haul her deeper into the terminal.
Vivienne froze, panic flashing in her eyes. She had already lost everything; was she going to get thrown in jail on top of it?
"I'm so sorry!" Justin pleaded desperately. "She's out of her mind! She's a complete lunatic, please just ignore her!"
He frantically grabbed Vivienne, trying to drag her away.
"Hold on," Owen's voice cut through the air like ice.
Justin froze in his tracks, still struggling to restrain his thrashing sister.
Owen took two steps forward, his predatory gaze locking onto Justin. "Keep your sister on a tight leash. If she pulls a stunt like this again, I will personally sever every single business tie between the Lance Group and the Voss Group."
