Too Late to Hold Me Back novel Chapter 1353

"I already told you I wasn't going to bail you out anymore, but you clearly didn't listen to a single word I said."

Left with no choice, Owen gritted his teeth and transferred one million dollars to Sebastian. "This is all I can scrape together."

"Why so little? How am I supposed to make a comeback with a mere million?" Sebastian complained, clearly unsatisfied.

"The funds in my account are a necessary Standby Fund," Owen fired back. "Transferring even this much to you is already going to impact my own investments."

Jordan chimed in, "You think that's not enough? Then don't take it. Look around Wall Street. Who else is going to help you right now besides my foolish disciple?"

Sebastian had no choice but to accept the money, following Owen's lead back into the market.

"Couldn't you spare a little more? I'm not asking for much, just a hundred million," Sebastian pleaded, looking at Owen with desperate hope.

"I told you from the very beginning that if you blew your account, I wasn't going to front you any more capital. But you wouldn't listen. You just had to dive in, and now whose fault is it? That million I gave you was pulled straight from my Standby Fund, and it hurt to do it."

Once the Siamese Baht exchange rate hit a critical peak, Ethan and Mira decisively pulled their capital, and Owen quickly followed suit. The group walked away with a steady ten-fold return on their initial investments.

Only Sebastian hung his head in defeat, muttering under his breath as he continued to complain about the meager funds Owen had provided.

Soon after, the financial titans launched their second offensive against the Siamese Baht. Mira knew that this time, they had succeeded.

Despite sharing the gift of rebirth, Sebastian was completely clueless; he had never lived through this specific event in his past life. His only option was to shadow Owen's investments using the borrowed money.

Still, his previous run trailing Owen had managed to turn that one million dollars into ten million.

For this next wave, Ethan and Mira planned to ride the momentum of the international tycoons, meaning they no longer needed to hide behind their Ethereal Visage Masks. They could even use this opportunity to do Jason Croft and his circle a favor.

By the time Mira and her group returned home, their initial capital of fifteen trillion Mavarian Dollars had exploded into an astronomical 1.5 quadrillion. They had firmly established themselves as global financial magnates.

Meanwhile, Sebastian had managed to take his two hundred million and shrink it down to a measly one hundred million.

And that remaining hundred million was only thanks to the million he had begged off his foster son, Owen, which he had subsequently multiplied. Without it, he would have lost absolutely everything.

Far away in Melvion City, Lucas and Damon had liquidated the remnants of their bankrupt company, using whatever funds were left to bail Adrian out of jail.

Since his release, Adrian had been utterly useless, yet he still expected them to drain their accounts to bail out Fiona.

It was only then that Lucas and Damon realized the massive mistake they had made, but the money was already gone, and there was no getting it back.

Bailing Fiona out was entirely off the table. But Adrian, having already secured his freedom, had become a parasitic burden, clinging to them and expecting to be fully supported.

Not only did he spend their money recklessly, but he also showed zero gratitude, constantly throwing around phrases like, "It's a son's duty to provide for his father."
