It was honestly baffling that it took me so long to figure it out. I had been so engrossed in my own thoughts and my dislike of Sandra that I hadn’t even realized what game Lily had been playing.
My outburst back near the pond where I indirectly accused Lily of making out with a friend’s guy must have triggered her. Even though I didn’t take any names, she realized that I must have seen her making out with Aaron.
So to throw the blame and attention from her to me, she came up with this master plan when taking the pictures in the garden.
face. I was willing to bet she was the one who noticed me through the window but innocently urged Sandra to post those pictures, then somehow paid people to comment on it and zoom in on my
I couldn’t prove it but I had a rising suspicion she was behind this. This was her form of damage control so that when I opened my mouth, nobody would believe me.
Fuck, how could I have been so blind to this twisted game?
I kept watching her as Lily gave me a smug smile as if watching me catch on to the conclusion and feeling absolutely elated about it.
She turned to Marcus, who was standing by the sideboard looking like a man who deeply regretted taking this booking. “Marcus, could you call in the massage team from earlier? All of them?”
“Miss, we are having a dining experience. We can schedule the massage or spa sessions later…”
“Please,” Lily said, batting her eyelashes at him.
Marcus made a phone call and shortly thereafter the massage team arrived including Peter.
He walked in with the rest of them and saw me and instantly looked away. His face looked a bit bruised from the punches Connor had delivered and had found a bit of concealer probably to hide the swelling.
Lily looked at all of them before asking loudly. “Which one of you was assigned to our friend Sienna today?”
Peter glanced at me warily and I looked back at him with an expression that I hoped communicated some kind of mercy plea.
He looked back at Lily hesitantly. “Me,” he said carefully.
“There is no need to be afraid. Nobody is going to harm you here” She added as if she could save him from Connor because she thought she was the daughter of some rich woman.
“And how was your session with her?” Lily asked in her overly bright voice.
“It was…” Peter was struggling to answer her correctly. “…she was receptive to the treatment.

“Receptive,” Camille repeated, with a small delighted sound.
“Can you elaborate?” Lily asked, leaning forward.
“I…uh…She responded well to the massage.”
“And did you offer her additional services?” Lily was clearly very invested.
“I…” He swallowed. “I mentioned our premium service options, yes.”
“Which are?”

“I offered to be available for the duration of the day for whatever services a customer might need.”
Magnus hastily added. “This is only if a client willingly consents to the services. Our customer’s comfort is our utmost…”
This time it was Sandra who dismissed him.
“You can speak when you are spoken to.”
Lily smile triumphantly, seeing that Sandra already believed her well cooked story.
“I’m sorry darling to have this done right before you when you came here to relax”
Lily gave Sandra’s shoulder a gentle squeeze and Sandra smiled at her. “No, you are a true friend and I am blessed to have you by my side in such a difficult time.”
Hearing that, Lily grew even more overjoyed while the rest of her friends wanted to join in too so that they could reap benefits of being friends of a soon to be rich lady.
Camille opened her phone and showed the zoomed in photo of my face.
“Were you responsible for this?” She asked and he blinked in confusion, looking at me.
I shook my head, asking him to not confirm it.
“I…I can’t say for sure, miss”
“Did she make sounds?” Becca asked “Clearly she did with her face going all wonky like that.”
“1- Peter looked at me again, and I wanted to tell him no matter what he was about to say, it was going to be wrong. The only winning move was to say nothing, but I couldn’t say any of that because Lily was watching me like a hawk, whispering something to Sandra.
She had clearly won over the trust of her friends, all of whom were whispering with each other and kept glaring at me every now and then.
“Yes, she did. She responded vocally to the massage. But that is natural if you have pain in…”
“This is interesting. What happened next?”

Peter hesitated. “Nothing, I gave her a demonstration of..”

“Demonstration?” Camille shrieked. “You heard it girls. This slut was clearly asking for it. She forced a poor and honest to work man to satisfy her just because she knew he couldn’t complain.”
The words shocked everyone including myself.
“Are you nuts? You guys aren’t even letting him speak.”
Sandra said dismissively. “I’ve heard enough. It makes me sick to continue hearing about your wild escapades.”
She then turned to Marcus. “Just get them to leave. I’m already feeling uneasy.”
“Oh dear.” Lily hastily reached for a glass of water to hand over to Sandra while patting her back soothingly.
“Leave, did you not hear her” She barked at Marcus and the rest of the staff who ran away immediately.
“That’s not the complete truth. That is a fraction of what happened, and it doesn’t even make sense for you to form any opinions about her” Jane shouted but Lily once again smiled at her.
“We’re just trying to understand, Lily said, turning to her with those wide, earnest eyes.
“Because if it was just a massage, like you said, then this should all be very straightforward to clear up, shouldn’t it?”
“She did not hook up with a staff member. Honestly what she does in her free time is nobody’s business.”
Sandra shouted. “It is if my boyfriend is paying for my relaxation. If he asked me to take you along so that we can work out our differences when I didn’t even do anything to you in particular, yet you leave no chance to ruin everything good I get because you are a miserable, jealous person.”
“I wasn’t keen to join you either but I came here for the same reason as you- Aaron. And I don’t owe you a full account of my afternoon or my life but all you’ve done is attack me and dissect my personality, my character like you are some self appointed priestesses of a virtuous temple,” I was trembling with rage, and my voice had gotten louder than I meant it to.
But I refused to cry, refused to let them see the tears despite being furious and overwhelmed simultaneously.
I wasn’t going to let them take it as another sign of my weakness.
“Nobody is attacking you,” Lily said, from her end of the table, calm and concerned. “You know people are going to ask us questions, Sienna, and if there’s an innocent explanation then the best thing is to just get it
out
“There is an innocent explanation, none that I owe you anyway” I said.
1 badly wanted to wipe the smug smiles from their faces by announcing I had the perfect right to give my body and soul to my boyfriend, to the guy who had announced me as his partner to the entire world at the
party.

But I couldn’t say it was him, not after hearing his father’s angry words. He had already heard a lot because of me, probably was going to receive a lecture from Alpha Asher and that deal would slip from his hands if I called him right now.
I didn’t want to drag him any further in this mess.
So I simply looked at Sandra and said. “One day you will find out that there are wolves in sheep’s clothing around you.”
With that I spun on my heels and started walking away from them.
