Sienna

I wasn’t sure who I was pissed at more when I reached the bar where the bartender was juggling a few bo and pouring drinks to the audience who clapped and cheered for him.

I waved at him.

“Excuse me, I need a drink”

He kept pouring an amber colored liquid from a bottle in a tall glass without taking his eyes off it.

“I would need a name, lady”

“Sienna” I croaked and he looked up at me in surprise.

Jake snuggled beside me, plastering his body to mine from the side as his hand came to rest on my back.

“She will have tequila shots” Jake said, already his mouth brushing my ears again.

The bartender looked from him to me as if waiting for me to object but I only shrugged. “Yeah that”

Meanwhile, Jake pulled me in front of him and now I could feel something poking in my butt as his hands gripped me tightly.

“This dress is so damn hot. I can’t wait to take it off of you tonight” He said and I immediately pulled away. turning to look at him.

“We are not sleeping tonight. In fact, we are never sleeping together” I replied hotly, annoyed by his crass behavior.

But he didn’t take the hint.

“Oh playing hard to get, are you? I should have sensed that when you paired this sultry dress with those hideous glasses. No wonder, you keep looking over your shoulder every now and then.”

My gaze flicked to the floor above and I noticed Blondie getting up from Connor’s lap and his gaze return to me again.

I bit back the angry retort that was at the tip of my tongue and was saved the need to reply when the bartender announced. “Tequila shots for the lady.”

I looked at the small vials and felt nervous. I hadn’t taken shots before.

But the quantity was so less. It wouldn’t hurt, I guess.

The first shot burned down my throat and neck, making my eyes water

Jake put a hand under my chin. “Need help?”

I shook my head because Connor was still looking and forced myself to down all of the shots, one after another.

Resisting the urge to gag and puke, I finally finished them all but instantly felt dizzy.

Jake clapped and then pulled me closer.

“That was hot.”

I mumbled suddenly feeling all sweaty.

“Yes, its hot here”

Jake’s hand landed on my butt as he squeezed it and then whispered. “I’ll help you cool down. Let’s go!” “No, but Jane…” I tried to argue but his hand gripped mine firmly as he began leading me towards the exit. “Wait, I want to go to the bathroom” I tried to pull my hand free but his eyes flared with anger.

“I am not wasting the entire night playing fake dating. I am going to fuck you senseless but not here so start moving.”

The way his eyes glinted dangerously and his ironclad grip on my arm made a single emotion rise up through my foggy brain.

Fear.

And somehow, my gaze flicked to Connor of all the people in the club. Somehow, he was already moving.

Jake had already pushed past the dancing crowd and I think I saw him slip a few dollar notes in the hands of a bouncer as he murmured something in his ear.

The bouncer nodded and immediately opened the door as Jake forced me out of the club.

He had been semi decent and still under control in front of the partygoers but outside it was just the two of us and empty road stretching around us on either side.

“Come on, give me a kiss” Jake grabbed me and slammed my body on his as his hand tried to grab my chin

I was feeling dizzy and was already seeing two of him.

“No, leave me alone!” I struggled to get out of his hold as his hand traveled down from my waist to trail down my leg and then he lifted me up in his arms.

Despite the fog in my brain and the drinks slurring my speech, I could tell this wasn’t going to end well for

I shoved him hard, pushing my elbow into his abdomen as I stumbled forward, almost falling down on the road face first.

“You are fucking annoying me now!”

I pushed the hair away from my face and started scooting backward, owndering where to run or hide

Meanwhile, Jake only rubbed his hands together deviously.

“There’s nobody out here in the dead of the night except a slut like you.”

Now, I was genuinely afraid for myself.

“Please, let me go!”

Jake only laughed at that. “You fucking dressed like slut, kept touching me and leaning into me and when reciprocated you suddenly act all naive and pure?”

I shook my head. “Please, I am not interested. It was a mistake!”

“A mistake?” He growled. “Then you shouldn’t have been all touchy feely and given me clear signals. Now, am horny and pissed.”

I looked around desperately but nobody was around us given that it was literally 2 am in the night and all of the crowd was busy partying inside.

“Please, let me go!” I joined my hands together desperately as I tried to cover up myself.

He had opened his mouth to argue but then I heard a voice cut through the haze.

“Is there a problem?” Connor stepped out of the door, looking completely unbothered and relaxed.

Jake turned around to see him and sneered.

“Go back to your party!”

This was probably the first time in my life that I felt relief on seeing Connor. Tears stung the back of my eyes as I hastily got up on my feet.

“Connor!”

He smiled. “Yeah that’s me.”

Jake took a step closer to him, flexing his muscles.

“I told you to go back inside!”

Connor still wasn’t looking at him and only cocked his head to the side.

“Are you not having fun with your date?”

I shook my head, hot tears spilling down my cheeks and spoiling my mascara,

“No, I want him to leave me alone!”

Jake meanwhile clenched his fists and growled. “You made me do this!”

He raised his hand to punch at Connor who didn’t move until Jake’s fist was a hair’s breadth away from

nose.

Meanwhile, I panicked and ran towards the last person on earth I would have wanted help from- my childhood bully.

With one hand Connor grabbed Jake’s fist and twisted his hand behind his back and yanked away Jake’s of hand that shot out to grab me.

“I think she made it pretty clear that she doesn’t want you anywhere near her.”

My heart was beating hard, my brain fighting the dizziness due to the alcohol as my body’s fight or flight system blared warning signals at me to stay awake and not pass out.

“No, she wants me…” Jake began but Connor twisted his arm a bit more, making the buff guy scowl and scream like a dramatic child.

“Oh, looks like he didn’t hear it clearly. Can you repeat it, Speckles?” Connor asked as he looked at me with a smile.

I held my head between my hands, trying to stand still and blurted out.

“Fuck off, you bastard!” I shouted at Jake who lunged at me or tried to.

Because then Connor let go of Jake’s arm, and grabbed him by the scruff of his neck, positioning both hands on his collar and twisting his neck once.

I heard something crack as Jake’s eyes turned white momentarily and he crumpled down on the ground, his body collapsing with a thud.

Oh my goddess, did we just commit murder?
