"I can't believe Stefan and Forrest are both away on business, and Simone has to work," Wynne smiled softly. "You're the only one who made time to play tennis with me, Winona. When we're done here, you have to come over for lunch. I had the staff fly in fresh organic produce and premium cuts from our family farm. We're having crispy roast pork, braised squab, clay pot fish head stew, stir-fried beef with cucumber, and tomato egg drop. If there's anything else you're craving, I can have the chef prep it now."

Winona chuckled lightly. "Wynne, please don't go to all that trouble. Everything you listed sounds amazing, and there's no way the two of us can eat all that anyway."

Wynne's eyes crinkled with warmth. "It's not too much. You can eat whatever catches your eye, and I'll just save the leftovers for dinner. You work so hard during the week—when you finally get a weekend off, you deserve to eat exactly what you love."

Since waking up from her coma, Wynne had become increasingly affectionate toward her.

Logically, given how hostile the relationship between Winona and Ophelia was, even if Wynne liked Winona, she should have kept her at arm's length.
