Stefan forcefully pushed Winona out of the way.
Yulen shoved Tallulah to safety.
Both men took the hit.
Winona rushed to Stefan's side, panic written all over her face. The heavy sculpture had struck his shoulder. Though the pain was intense, it was bearable, and he quickly lowered his voice to soothe her. "I'm fine. Don't panic."
Tears spilled down Winona's cheeks, her voice cracking. "We need to get to the hospital."
Stefan's security team rushed over to help him up, and Winona practically ran alongside him as they hurried out.
Nearby, Yulen was being helped up by Tallulah and his bodyguards.
He had been staring at Winona the entire time, but she hadn't looked in his direction even once. He was hurt too, yet did she really not care about him at all anymore?
Yulen and Stefan ended up at the same hospital, and because both had bone injuries, they were placed in the same orthopedic department.
Winona stayed by Stefan's side through all his examinations. His injury was somewhat severe, requiring him to be admitted for three days of observation. Naturally, Winona stayed to look after him.
When a work call came through, she stepped out into the hallway to avoid disturbing his rest.
But as she walked back to the room, she found Margaret standing in the doorway.
"Winona, you're no longer needed here," Margaret said coldly. "You can leave."
Winona noticed that the bodyguards stationed by the door weren't Stefan's usual detail; they were Margaret's men. She wasn't foolish enough to pick a physical fight she couldn't win, so she simply turned and walked away.
Margaret let out a smug hmph. She had expected Winona to cause a scene, but it seemed the girl actually knew her place.
Winona stopped at the elevator banks and immediately pulled out her phone to call Violet.
Half an hour later, Violet marched down the hall.
Margaret froze in absolute shock at the sight of her mother-in-law. She glared fiercely at Winona, who was standing right beside Violet. *This little bitch actually knows how to tattle!*
