With that thought, Yulen felt a wave of relief. All he had to do was wait patiently, and Winona would inevitably come back to him.
Camille added another reminder: "Don't give Tallulah the cold shoulder right now either. She's earned Glenda's favor and brought in a very lucrative project for the Locke family. Even though I can't stand her, I have to admit she's got some skills."
Yulen nodded. "I know."

Seeing that Wynne had plenty of people looking after her, Winona finally went home with Stefan.
Back at the house, she noticed Stefan seemed distracted. "Are you worried about Mrs. Powell?" she asked softly.
Stefan nodded slightly. "Her mother was very close to my grandmother. Wynne used to visit the Goddard family all the time when I was younger, and she was always very kind to me."
Winona desperately hoped Wynne would wake up soon, but she knew brain injuries were notoriously complicated. Even the world's top neurosurgeons were often left powerless in these situations.
For the next few days, Winona accompanied Stefan to visit Wynne, but her condition remained unchanged.
On Tuesday evening, Glenda showed up. After visiting Wynne, she turned to Stefan. "Stefan, I need to speak with you."
Stefan didn't refuse. He patted Winona's hand gently, stood up, and followed Glenda out.
Once they were out on the terrace, Glenda got straight to the point. "Seeing Wynne like this breaks my heart. Your mother and I have discussed it, and we think you and Ophelia should have a propitiatory wedding as soon as possible. It might just be the miracle that wakes Wynne up."
Stefan let out a mocking laugh. "You really know how to calculate, Grandma. Coming up with such an archaic, superstitious excuse just to force me into marrying Ophelia."
Glenda's eyes bored into him. "Stefan, marriage isn't a game. You're the heir to the Goddard family, and you need to take this seriously. I want you to give my proposal some real thought."
"There's nothing to think about. If you're genuinely worried about Wynne, you should be hiring the best doctors in the country, not resorting to baseless superstitions. And as for Ophelia—her mother is lying in a coma, yet she still has the energy to plot out a marriage of convenience with you? Is that how a devoted daughter acts?"
Glenda was so furious her chest heaved, completely unable to formulate a counterargument. This grandson of hers had grown far too independent and had completely forgotten how to respect his elders.
Realizing she couldn't break Stefan, she decided her only option was to target Winona.
