When Yulen woke up, he found himself in bed next to Tallulah.
Flashing back to the night before, he groaned and rubbed his temples.
His mind had been an absolute wreck the past couple of days. He honestly never expected Winona to be so cold-blooded, to actually walk away from him for good. Had she completely forgotten all the time and money he'd invested in her over the years?
Besides, she was the one who couldn't give him a child. That's why he had turned to Tallulah in the first place. How was any of that his fault?
Hearing him stir, Tallulah woke up. Covered in the lingering marks of their night together, she gave him a sultry, heavy-lidded look.
Yulen felt a spark of dark satisfaction. If there was one area where Tallulah thoroughly beat Winona, it was the bedroom. She was entirely uninhibited and knew exactly how to cater to a man.
Winona had no right to be furious about him straying. That's just how men operated. If you're starving at home, of course you're going to eat out. If she had just kept him satisfied and given him a son, none of this would have happened.
Sensing his gaze, Tallulah wrapped her arms around his waist, silently asking for round two.
Unable to resist, Yulen pulled her back under the sheets.
Once they were done, he unceremoniously pushed her aside and headed for the shower.
Emerging in a crisp, perfectly tailored suit, he was back to being the untouchable, elite CEO of the Locke Group.
Wearing only a robe, Tallulah stared at him with hungry, possessive eyes. This was the man she loved. There was absolutely no way she was handing him over to Winona.
With his physical needs handled, Yulen's calculating mind took over. He looked down at her. "I've turned a blind eye to the stunts you've pulled lately, but going forward, you are to stop harassing Winona."
Tallulah's face instantly soured. "Fine, I won't bother her. But can you promise to stop seeing her?"
Yulen looked genuinely confused. "Why wouldn't I see her? She's my woman."
"But she left you! She's blatantly hooking up with Stefan Goddard! She clearly doesn't even care about you."
His expression hardened, his voice turning to ice. "That is between me and her. Stay out of it."
"I'm your wife!" she fired back, tears welling up. "Am I not allowed to be jealous? I gave you a son! I'm working my fingers to the bone for your company! Is it really too much to ask that you only love me?"
Yulen found her delusion almost funny. Women were all exactly the same. They lusted after powerful, capable men, yet somehow expected those same men to act like lapdogs. It was a complete paradox.
