Winona didn't expect Stefan to attend tonight's exchange conference.

Seeing him standing with Margaret and the others, she had no intention of heading over and simply continued her discussion with Sheldon Cohen.

Stefan had only planned to greet his grandmother Glenda, his mother Margaret, and Sylvan Scully before leaving.

Suddenly, Glenda swayed, putting a hand to her forehead. "Stefan, I'm suddenly not feeling well. Could you help me to the lounge?"

Though he wasn't particularly close to her, she was still his grandmother. He reached out to support her.

As they left, Margaret turned to Ophelia Powell. "Let's go check on her too."

Ophelia nodded.

Sylvan also wanted to follow, but Margaret stopped him. "Please, Mr. Scully, don't trouble yourself. My mother is a very proud woman; she hates letting others see her when she's vulnerable. I hope you understand."

Sylvan nodded. "Of course. Let me know if you need any help."

In the lounge, Stefan poured a glass of water for Glenda. "Grandma, where does it hurt? Do we need to go to the hospital?"

Glenda took a sip and rubbed her temples. "It's just my old dizzy spells. A little rest and my medication will fix it."

Stefan retrieved her pills from her bag and made sure she took them.

"I'll lie down in the inner room for a bit," Glenda said. "Wake me in half an hour."

He nodded, helping her into the adjoining bedroom.

Meanwhile, Winona had been deep in conversation about professional topics with Sheldon and Zack Charlton. Feeling parched, she headed to the beverage area to grab a glass of juice.

Glenda and Margaret walked straight toward her.

Seeing the two of them approach, Winona wasn't exactly eager to chat, but she still managed a polite smile.

Glenda offered a kind, almost grandmotherly smile, slipping a bracelet off her wrist. "I heard you saved Stefan's other grandmother. I just adore good-hearted girls like you. Please, take this."

Winona couldn't figure out the older woman's angle. Stefan had mentioned before that his mother and grandmother were on the exact same page—which meant they probably despised her. So why the sudden gift?

She gently declined. "That's very kind of you, but there's no need. Stefan has helped me out plenty of times. We're more than even."

Glenda didn't back down. "Saving a member of the family means you're destined to be connected to us. Margaret lost Evander years ago, and now she only has Stefan and Roxana. Stefan is always working, and Roxana is too playful. She doesn't have a sweet, caring child by her side, and I worry about her all the time. Since you're such a well-behaved girl, why don't we make you Margaret's daughter? You could be Stefan's sister, and you can call me Grandma, too. With that kind of status, when you get married someday, both the Shepherd and Goddard families will put together an incredibly generous dowry for you. What do you say?"
