Stefan kissed her forehead. "Yeah, there are too many details. We'll get a top-tier team to execute our vision."

She smiled sleepily. "You're really letting me call all the shots? A Goddard family wedding is a huge deal. Are you sure you don't need to invite some major business connections?"

"No," he said firmly. "This day belongs to us. I'm not turning our wedding into a corporate networking event."

Satisfied, Winona snuggled deeper into his arms, finding a comfortable spot against his chest, and closed her eyes.

The next morning, Winona walked into the office.

Corin noticed the simple band on her ring finger. "Are you seeing someone, Winona?"

Even though it was on her ring finger, the design was so understated that Corin didn't even consider that it might be a wedding ring.

She just smiled and didn't answer.

At noon, she, Corin, and a few others headed to the elevators for lunch.

Suddenly, the doors opened to reveal Margaret, pushing Ophelia in a wheelchair.

Margaret smiled pleasantly. "We're just here to have lunch with Stefan. Don't mind us, go on ahead."

Acting as though she didn't even see Winona, she pushed the wheelchair straight toward Stefan's office.

Corin looked confused. "What happened to Ms. Powell? Did she hurt her leg?"

Winona remembered that Ophelia had previously been hospitalized for an injury sustained while protecting Margaret. If the old injury had flared up, would Margaret use it to guilt Stefan into doing something he didn't want to do?

She quickly shut down the anxious spiral.
