After reviewing the listings, Winona found the flaws in all of them too glaring and suggested Helena keep looking.
"I wasn't thrilled with them either," Helena replied. "I'll ask the agent to pull a few more options."
Winona suddenly remembered the three adjacent commercial storefronts the Locke family owned on Sandoval Row. It was a prime location with massive foot traffic, and it wasn't far from Helena's house.
If those three units were knocked through to create one expansive space, it would be the perfect flagship location for a luxury beauty salon.
The Locke family owed her a massive debt, and she had every right to extract some compensation from them.
However, there was only one person she could negotiate this with: Camille.
She texted Camille, asking to meet the following evening.
Camille replied with a swift *Yes.*
Putting her phone away, Winona tore open a sheet mask and smoothed it over her face.
When Stefan walked back in from the balcony, he saw her lounging comfortably on the sofa and leaned down to press a kiss to her hair, a warm smile on his face.
Winona eventually took the mask off, washed her face, and curled up in his arms, chatting casually about her family.
"Even though I can't drag you in front of my grandmother just yet, I can take you to meet my grandfather."
Stefan raised an eyebrow. "What should I bring him?"
Winona smiled. "He loved a good drink when he was alive. Just bring a bottle of premium liquor."
Stefan kissed her soft cheek. "Done. When are we going?"
"How about Saturday?"
"Sounds perfect."
The next morning, when Helena heard the news, she was genuinely surprised.
"The three adjacent storefronts on Sandoval Row."
Camille hesitated. Those properties were in a highly coveted commercial district, valued at roughly thirty million. The HSV-121 project was already bleeding capital; handing over thirty million in real estate felt like cutting off a limb.
Winona had no intention of giving her time to deliberate.
She stood up smoothly. "I have somewhere to be. If you're not interested in the trade, I'll be on my way. And just so we're clear—the second I get home, this file goes into the shredder. Don't bother calling me to negotiate later, because the offer is off the table."
Camille was stunned by her absolute ruthlessness. There was zero room for negotiation.
Gritting her teeth, she finally caved. "Fine. We have a deal."
"Meet me at the property registry tomorrow," Winona said decisively. "The moment the title transfers, the file is yours."
Watching thirty million vanish into thin air left a bitter taste in Camille's mouth. If Yulen had actually married Winona instead of getting tangled up with that idiot Tallulah, Winona would be their company's greatest cash cow right now. They wouldn't have to bleed millions just to beg for her help.
