Tallulah's bump was getting quite large, yet she still dressed in trendy, youthful clothes. But seeing Winona walk out looking effortlessly gorgeous even without makeup, her ego took a massive hit.
Raising an eyebrow, she smirked. "Bet you didn't expect this, did you? Yulen still cares about me. When I came back from Seabrook City, he picked me up himself."
Winona thought she looked absolutely pathetic, like some desperate woman clinging to scraps. How could she stomach Yulen's blatant disloyalty?
Winona rolled her eyes dismissively. "I couldn't care less about your family drama. But let me remind you—after you give birth, you still owe a live public apology. The Goddard Group and I haven't forgotten."
At the mention of the livestream apology, Tallulah's face turned a sickening shade of green.
Not wanting this woman's toxic presence to pollute Greta's ears, Winona took the little girl's hand and walked in the opposite direction.
It wasn't until they were far away that Greta looked up. "Winona, that's the woman who cheated with my ex-brother-in-law, right?"
Winona was surprised the kid knew.
Greta scowled. "I saw them kissing before."
Winona gently patted her head. "Greta, I left him a long time ago. You don't need to worry about it. And please don't let this make you bitter about relationships. What happened between him and me has nothing to do with you."
She was genuinely worried that her failed marriage might warp Greta's view of love. The last thing she wanted was for the girl to grow up hating men. It was just a few toxic guys who were at fault, not the entire male population. There were still responsible, dependable men out there—like Stefan Goddard.
She paused, slightly startled. When she thought of a "good man," Stefan was the first person who popped into her head.
Greta nodded. "I know. I'm just mad because he treated you so badly."
"I'm an adult, sweetie. I can handle my own battles. Come on, you want some ice cream?"
Greta was still a kid, and her attention quickly shifted to the promise of a sweet treat.
Just as they walked out of the ice cream parlor, Stefan's car pulled up.
He stepped out and noticed Winona holding her cone without taking a bite. "Not eating it?"
"It's too cold," Winona admitted. "I had one bite and got a brain freeze."
"I'll take it."
He naturally took the cone from her hand and took a bite.
Winona's cheeks warmed.
She had already eaten from that.

After recovering from her surgery, Camille Locke couldn't stop worrying about the company.
She requested the latest financial reports from the marketing and finance directors.
Reading them, she nearly passed out from pure rage.
She grabbed her phone and dialed Yulen. "Get to the hospital. Right now!"
Yulen was already drowning in stress over the Goddard Group aggressively undercutting their market.
If this continued, their entire inventory of HSK-003 would become dead weight. The losses would be catastrophic.
Left with no other options, he headed to the hospital to strategize with Camille.
The moment he walked in, Camille hurled a pillow hard at his face.
"Why didn't you listen to me?! Why did you change the pricing without authorization?!"
