Savannah changed the subject and suggested a weekend trip. "How about we take the kids rafting this weekend?"
Heather immediately agreed. "That sounds great. We can escape the heat. Yara has been wanting to play in the water for ages. What do you think, Felicia?"
"Alright, let’s go," Felicia replied softly.
After dinner that evening, Savannah and Heather left with Yara. Felicia took Anne upstairs to wash up. Once they were finished, the nanny came upstairs to inform them that Tatiana had called for Anne. Anne followed the nanny downstairs to take the call. Felicia did not go down with her, instead taking her pajamas into the bathroom for a shower.
By the time she finished showering, dried her hair, and stepped out, Anne was already sitting on the sofa waiting for her. Seeing her mother emerge, the little girl trotted over and wrapped her arms tightly around Felicia's waist. She tilted her small head up and asked, "Mommy, can we go see Daddy?"
Felicia guided Anne to the sofa and sat down. "Did Grandma ask you to go over?"
Anne nodded vigorously. "I miss Daddy so much."
She had never been separated from her father for such a long time. It seemed Max was likely out of danger now, though he certainly would not be able to return to the country anytime soon.
Felicia reached out and gently stroked Anne's small head. "Daddy is fine, so you can stop worrying now. But Mommy has taken too much time off already and really needs to get back to work. Plus, Grandpa is sick in the hospital today, so it isn't convenient for Mommy to go. You go on ahead first, and Mommy will wait right here for Daddy to come back."
She had spoken with Ava on the phone today, who had assured her that Colton's condition was not serious.
Anne pouted her small lips. "But Daddy will definitely want to see you."
"It is not like we will never see each other again. He will come back sooner or later."
It took quite a bit of coaxing before Anne finally agreed.
The nanny looked confused. "Do you want everything packed into the suitcases?"
Felicia hummed in confirmation.
Though puzzled, the nanny did not ask any questions and began packing. Looking at the expensive jewelry pieces in the display cabinet, Felicia realized she had never worn many of them since Max bought them. There was also the blue diamond, worth over a hundred million, which was still at the Ross family estate. For a moment, she had no idea what to do with these items. Since they were all incredibly valuable, she decided to just leave them there for now.
The nanny spent nearly two hours packing, filling two large suitcases. Aside from the expensive jewelry, almost all of her personal belongings were packed away.
"Madam, everything is packed."
Felicia put down the book in her hands and was just about to have the driver load the luggage into the car.

Oh nooo!! Don’t tell me Max will get washed ashore on a remote island then loses all his memory, then falls inlove with the local girl who saves him. Then when he meets Felicia again he won’t recognize her and breaks her heart again. Additional plot twist is that Felicia is pregnant with their 2nd child. Please pleaseee don’t give us this scenario.. LOL!!!...
If Max can be forgiven Darrin can be forgiven. And I do not like this marriage business but if it has to happen I hope after he gets stranded on some remote island alone while Felicia and his family fight over custody she wins and also gets half his estate. Then by time he comes back she's found having and remarried. Lol...
The writer is good. They're making me interested in Max. I won't say like yet....
It seems the only one who hasn't suffered is Max. Even his family fakes anger and disappointment all their own doing so they suffer a little. Everyone else has suffered. Luke and Jeremy unrequited. Felicia has suffered the most from family to unrequited to romance to long suffering Mother. Even baby Anne never had a mother til Felicia suffered then came back only to suffer some more. lol...
Oh no what did Colton do?... I have a bone to pick. When Olisha had to go the hospital why beg for Felicia? When she so loved Max? Seemed like she was in on the setup for Felicia to see a suicide for the 2nd time orchestrated by holden and his brother again. I might drop this series it's becoming endless with no real satisfaction for me. I don't need it to end because it's like a soap opera but if things don't end up making sense, tying up loose storylines it's gonna get old fast for me. Good luck author....
Anne, I think your baby brother is on the way. Thank goodness it doesn't say that Felicia is crying just like the last time but still, there's no willingness on her part. Max! You need to try harder. Make her fall in love with you again....
