The Ugly Wife’s Stunning Comeback (Felicia and Max) novel Chapter 1134
Jeremy gave a soft hum of affirmation. Although Felicia did not remember anything, her bodily instinctive sensory awareness was very strong. Before he arrived, Felicia had maintained a fierce resistance and vigilance toward the people around her. A sudden silence fell between them.
"My brother made her lose her memory," Ivy said, her voice laced with worry. She turned her head, looking up at Jeremy. "What do you think he means by this, Mr. Milman? What good does it do him to erase her memories?"
Her brother had only permitted Jeremy to come here and keep Felicia company. It was hard not to suspect that Jeffrey simply wanted to escalate the conflict between Max and Jeremy. Yet, even knowing her brother had ulterior motives, Jeremy still had no choice but to come. Jeremy merely gazed off into the distance, his handsome features composed and unreadable as he remained silent. Ivy withdrew her gaze, choosing not to press the issue further.
"Jeffery probably already knows you are here," Jeremy noted.
Ivy nodded. After a moment of thought, she spoke again. "I might not be in a position to say this, but I still hope you can remain rational, Mr. Milman." She did not want him to get dragged down by the Manning family internal conflicts. As she spoke, her fingers curled into tight fists, a slight tremor of nervousness betraying her calm tone.
Jeremy looked at Ivy and let out a soft chuckle. "I know," he said.
The dappled sunlight danced across his handsome, gentle face as he smiled. Ivy felt her heart flutter wildly, but she quickly reined in her emotions. Seeing that he harbored no other resentment, she finally relaxed. The two of them began to walk back together. Ivy walked quietly beside Jeremy. The mountain breeze was exceptionally refreshing and comfortable. This was the first time she had been able to stand so close to Jeremy and just talk with him.
Jeffrey had not ordered anyone to escort Ivy away. The butler had even prepared a room for her, complete with a change of clothes and daily necessities, silently approving her stay. For a moment, Ivy found it even harder to guess what was going on in Jeffery’s mind.
"If you need anything, Miss Manning, please let me know directly," the butler offered before turning to leave.
"Is there a dedicated line I can use to contact my brother?" Ivy asked suddenly.

Oh nooo!! Don’t tell me Max will get washed ashore on a remote island then loses all his memory, then falls inlove with the local girl who saves him. Then when he meets Felicia again he won’t recognize her and breaks her heart again. Additional plot twist is that Felicia is pregnant with their 2nd child. Please pleaseee don’t give us this scenario.. LOL!!!...
If Max can be forgiven Darrin can be forgiven. And I do not like this marriage business but if it has to happen I hope after he gets stranded on some remote island alone while Felicia and his family fight over custody she wins and also gets half his estate. Then by time he comes back she's found having and remarried. Lol...
The writer is good. They're making me interested in Max. I won't say like yet....
It seems the only one who hasn't suffered is Max. Even his family fakes anger and disappointment all their own doing so they suffer a little. Everyone else has suffered. Luke and Jeremy unrequited. Felicia has suffered the most from family to unrequited to romance to long suffering Mother. Even baby Anne never had a mother til Felicia suffered then came back only to suffer some more. lol...
Oh no what did Colton do?... I have a bone to pick. When Olisha had to go the hospital why beg for Felicia? When she so loved Max? Seemed like she was in on the setup for Felicia to see a suicide for the 2nd time orchestrated by holden and his brother again. I might drop this series it's becoming endless with no real satisfaction for me. I don't need it to end because it's like a soap opera but if things don't end up making sense, tying up loose storylines it's gonna get old fast for me. Good luck author....
Anne, I think your baby brother is on the way. Thank goodness it doesn't say that Felicia is crying just like the last time but still, there's no willingness on her part. Max! You need to try harder. Make her fall in love with you again....
