The Ugly Wife’s Stunning Comeback (Felicia and Max) novel Chapter 1119
Felicia got into her car and left Oakridge Estate. That morning, she had already informed Max that she was returning to the Ross family home and asked him to arrange for someone to pick Anne up from school. Knowing she was heading back to see her family, Max had not pressed for details. As her car cruised down the road, Ava called to check in on her.
Just as they approached West Hill Boulevard, a sleek black sedan suddenly swerved in front of them, entirely blocking their path. Felicia's driver slammed on the brakes. Instinctively, she threw her hands over her lower abdomen as her body jolted forward. Thankfully, the seatbelt caught her in time.
"Are you alright, ma'am?" the driver asked in a panic.
"I am fine," Felicia replied, her heart racing.
Just as the words left her mouth, she saw an imposing, heavily built man step out of the black sedan. He was at least six and a half feet tall, built like a walking brick wall. A knot of dread formed in Felicia's chest.
The man marched straight to the rear passenger door and rapped his knuckles against the glass. An overwhelming sense of intimidation washed over her. Her driver quickly got out of the car, eyeing the giant warily.
"Who are you?"
The massive man spoke with a surprisingly polite tone. "My employer would like to invite Ms. Ross for a cup of tea."
"I am sorry, but Ms. Ross is not available today," the driver stated firmly.
"In that case, please forgive my rudeness." His voice was entirely devoid of amusement. Without another word, he reached out and forcefully yanked the passenger door open.
Half an hour later, Felicia found herself sitting in an elegantly decorated room. Delicate plumes of smoke curled into the air, creating a deceptively tranquil atmosphere. She sat stiffly on her chair, her dark eyes fixed on the man seated across from her, who was casually sipping his tea.
"What exactly do you want, Jeffrey?"
Jeffrey set his cup down. His expression was dangerously cold, and a mocking smirk played on his lips. "Did you all honestly think you could keep Willa hidden away at Oakridge Estate forever? Or are you trying to play matchmaker and set her up with Luke?"
"If you truly cared about Willa, you would let her be free," Felicia retorted, keeping her voice steady. "She is a human being, not your pet."
Jeffrey let out a chilling laugh, his dark eyes devoid of warmth. "Do you know what I despise the most?"
Felicia stared at him, refusing to answer.

Oh nooo!! Don’t tell me Max will get washed ashore on a remote island then loses all his memory, then falls inlove with the local girl who saves him. Then when he meets Felicia again he won’t recognize her and breaks her heart again. Additional plot twist is that Felicia is pregnant with their 2nd child. Please pleaseee don’t give us this scenario.. LOL!!!...
If Max can be forgiven Darrin can be forgiven. And I do not like this marriage business but if it has to happen I hope after he gets stranded on some remote island alone while Felicia and his family fight over custody she wins and also gets half his estate. Then by time he comes back she's found having and remarried. Lol...
The writer is good. They're making me interested in Max. I won't say like yet....
It seems the only one who hasn't suffered is Max. Even his family fakes anger and disappointment all their own doing so they suffer a little. Everyone else has suffered. Luke and Jeremy unrequited. Felicia has suffered the most from family to unrequited to romance to long suffering Mother. Even baby Anne never had a mother til Felicia suffered then came back only to suffer some more. lol...
Oh no what did Colton do?... I have a bone to pick. When Olisha had to go the hospital why beg for Felicia? When she so loved Max? Seemed like she was in on the setup for Felicia to see a suicide for the 2nd time orchestrated by holden and his brother again. I might drop this series it's becoming endless with no real satisfaction for me. I don't need it to end because it's like a soap opera but if things don't end up making sense, tying up loose storylines it's gonna get old fast for me. Good luck author....
Anne, I think your baby brother is on the way. Thank goodness it doesn't say that Felicia is crying just like the last time but still, there's no willingness on her part. Max! You need to try harder. Make her fall in love with you again....
