Hearing that, Kate found herself completely unable to argue back.
That night, Max returned home. After telling Anne a bedtime story, Felicia quietly made her way downstairs and settled onto the living room sofa. Max soon followed, wrapping a strong arm securely around her waist. "So, what did you all talk about today?"
"Kate does not approve of Willa," Felicia told him honestly.
"Her opinion is entirely irrelevant," Max dismissed easily. "She will follow Daniel's lead anyway. What do you think about letting Luke and Willa officially start dating?"
"Willa clearly has feelings for Luke, but she is incredibly insecure right now. She is terrified of becoming a burden to him. Even if Luke wants to take things further, she will definitely hesitate." Felicia understood Willa's state of mind perfectly. Willa did not want to drag down the very people around her, especially the man who had essentially saved her life. She undoubtedly felt completely unworthy of him, and if he pushed too hard, she might instinctively push him away.
"Then Luke just needs to step up and take more initiative," Max concluded.
Felicia shot him a warning glare. "Do not try to teach Luke how to handle this. He knows exactly what he needs to do far better than you do. Do not meddle where you do not belong."
Max's lips curved into a wicked, self-satisfied smirk. "How am I meddling? You know what they say, the bystander always sees things the clearest. Your brother Darin is practically a block of wood. He preaches and lectures more stubbornly than a womanizer. Do you honestly think my advice is any worse than his?"
Meanwhile, across the city, Darin, who was still working overtime at his firm, suddenly sneezed several times in a row.
Felicia simply repeated her warning. "Just do not mess around with them."
"I would never mess around with them," Max purred, his voice dropping an octave. "I only want to mess around with you."

Oh nooo!! Don’t tell me Max will get washed ashore on a remote island then loses all his memory, then falls inlove with the local girl who saves him. Then when he meets Felicia again he won’t recognize her and breaks her heart again. Additional plot twist is that Felicia is pregnant with their 2nd child. Please pleaseee don’t give us this scenario.. LOL!!!...
If Max can be forgiven Darrin can be forgiven. And I do not like this marriage business but if it has to happen I hope after he gets stranded on some remote island alone while Felicia and his family fight over custody she wins and also gets half his estate. Then by time he comes back she's found having and remarried. Lol...

It seems the only one who hasn't suffered is Max. Even his family fakes anger and disappointment all their own doing so they suffer a little. Everyone else has suffered. Luke and Jeremy unrequited. Felicia has suffered the most from family to unrequited to romance to long suffering Mother. Even baby Anne never had a mother til Felicia suffered then came back only to suffer some more. lol...
Oh no what did Colton do?... I have a bone to pick. When Olisha had to go the hospital why beg for Felicia? When she so loved Max? Seemed like she was in on the setup for Felicia to see a suicide for the 2nd time orchestrated by holden and his brother again. I might drop this series it's becoming endless with no real satisfaction for me. I don't need it to end because it's like a soap opera but if things don't end up making sense, tying up loose storylines it's gonna get old fast for me. Good luck author....
