Felicia glanced at Max and offered softly, "You can go get dinner first."
"It's fine. I'm not that hungry," Max replied.
Felicia didn't press the issue and gently led Anne into the villa. Max turned and walked back to his car. Just as he opened the door to get in, he noticed a black car and a silver car driving slowly toward him, one trailing the other. He stood by his door, watching them for a brief moment, before sliding into the driver's seat.
Soon, the two cars parked nearby. Darin and Jeremy stepped out. Darin, who had been driving the lead car, clearly saw Max getting into his vehicle. He turned to Jeremy. "You go on inside first, Jeremy."
Jeremy's gaze swept over Max's parked car, and he nodded before heading inside.
Darin walked over, stopped beside Max's car, and tapped on the window. There was no movement. He stared at the tinted glass, completely unable to see the person inside. After he knocked a second time, the window finally rolled down slowly. Max looked at him from the corner of his eye. "Speak up if you have something to say."
Hearing his cold hard tone, Darin scoffed. "Did you get off bed on the wrong side today? Who are you throwing an attitude at?"
Max withdrew his gaze, letting the silence stretch as his eyes dropped to the tablet resting in his hands.
Darin frowned slightly, pausing for a second before asking, "Did you drop Anne off?"
The man in the car remained silent, his fingers swiping methodically across the screen as if Darin did not even exist. Darin's face darkened with irritation. Deciding not to waste any more breath, he turned and walked toward the villa.
In the yard, a long dining table had been beautifully set up, and the barbecue grill was already fired up. Everyone pitched in, bringing the prepared ingredients out from the kitchen. Naturally, Felicia wanted to help, but she was quickly shooed to the side. She felt like a highly fragile patient who wasn't allowed to lift a finger. Helpless, she could only sit back and watch the three children play.
The deep blue clouds painting the sky after the rain looked exceptionally beautiful, and the evening air was incredibly fresh. Anne and Yara were running around happily in the yard, with little Sean eagerly chasing after them. Rusty and Marble had grown quite a bit. The delightfully chubby kittens chased each other up the trees, tumbling in mock battles. The children's bright laughter echoed through the air, making everything feel peaceful and perfectly idyllic.
Jeremy walked over holding a freshly roasted sweet potato and offered it to Felicia. "When is your next checkup?"

Take her back? Want to see her?? Donno about Felicia but I think I’m falling for this Max somehow🫠🙈pls update daily...
I knew it! Hopefully Felicia's health will improve and will want to have the baby. Oh how I despise Max's family....
Please post *I forgot I ever loved you*...
Is this coming to an end...
Oh nooo!! Don’t tell me Max will get washed ashore on a remote island then loses all his memory, then falls inlove with the local girl who saves him. Then when he meets Felicia again he won’t recognize her and breaks her heart again. Additional plot twist is that Felicia is pregnant with their 2nd child. Please pleaseee don’t give us this scenario.. LOL!!!...
If Max can be forgiven Darrin can be forgiven. And I do not like this marriage business but if it has to happen I hope after he gets stranded on some remote island alone while Felicia and his family fight over custody she wins and also gets half his estate. Then by time he comes back she's found having and remarried. Lol...
The writer is good. They're making me interested in Max. I won't say like yet....
It seems the only one who hasn't suffered is Max. Even his family fakes anger and disappointment all their own doing so they suffer a little. Everyone else has suffered. Luke and Jeremy unrequited. Felicia has suffered the most from family to unrequited to romance to long suffering Mother. Even baby Anne never had a mother til Felicia suffered then came back only to suffer some more. lol...
Oh no what did Colton do?... I have a bone to pick. When Olisha had to go the hospital why beg for Felicia? When she so loved Max? Seemed like she was in on the setup for Felicia to see a suicide for the 2nd time orchestrated by holden and his brother again. I might drop this series it's becoming endless with no real satisfaction for me. I don't need it to end because it's like a soap opera but if things don't end up making sense, tying up loose storylines it's gonna get old fast for me. Good luck author....
Anne, I think your baby brother is on the way. Thank goodness it doesn't say that Felicia is crying just like the last time but still, there's no willingness on her part. Max! You need to try harder. Make her fall in love with you again....
