The Ugly Wife’s Stunning Comeback (Felicia and Max) novel Chapter 1051
Max walked out of the school with Anne's backpack in one hand and her small hand in the other. Dean, who was waiting at the school gates, spotted them.
"Uncle Dean!" Anne called out when she saw him.
Max's eyes darkened slightly at the sight of Dean.
Anne walked up to him. "Uncle Dean, where is my mom?"
Dean looked down at her and replied, "She is at Capital College today. I'm here to take you to her."
"What is Mom doing at Capital College?"
"She's attending an academic symposium. It should be ending soon."
Anne looked up at her father. "Dad, let's go find Mom!" She then climbed into Max's car.
Once inside his own vehicle, Dean called Felicia to explain the situation. "Mr. Hawthorne came to pick up Anne, and she said she's going with him to Capital College to find you."
"Alright, I understand," Felicia replied. She ended the call just as Jeremy walked over.
"Did you get Anne?" Jeremy asked.
"Max went to the school to pick her up. I don't know if they'll come over," Felicia said. The symposium had concluded, and she was waiting for Anne so they could head back to the Ross estate for dinner.
"Then let's wait and see."
"Okay."
As they made their way toward the parking lot, they ran into someone familiar. It was Ivy.
"Ms. Ross, Mr. Milman," Ivy greeted them proactively.
Felicia carefully put her tickets away.
"How do you know Ivy?" Jeremy asked.
As they continued toward the parking lot, Felicia explained their connection.
"It seems the higher someone's status, the more hidden layers they have. I wonder how Willa is doing now," Felicia mused. She also wondered about Luke and whether he and Ivy had reconnected. Aside from seeing Luke at the funeral, she hadn't run into him at the villa lately. From what Greg had mentioned, he hadn't seen Luke for a while either, likely because he was busy.
"I've heard a few things about the Manning family's situation," Jeremy said. "As long as everyone is safe, there's no need to worry too much. But it sounds like Max definitely intervened." This detail left Jeremy slightly puzzled. Max had previously warned Felicia not to meddle in other people's business. Given Max's relationship with Jeffrey, it stood to reason he wouldn't interfere in Jeffrey's private affairs. What was his motive? Was it because of Luke?
"Well, it's his business anyway," Felicia said, too weary to pry further.
They reached the parking lot. Anne still hadn't called, so Felicia wasn't sure if Max was bringing her over. She got into Jeremy's car, and they drove to the university entrance to wait.
Ten minutes later, Felicia noticed a Rolls-Royce slowly pulling up in the rearview mirror. She immediately opened her door and stepped out. The door of the Rolls-Royce opened, and Anne hopped out, followed closely by Max.

Oh nooo!! Don’t tell me Max will get washed ashore on a remote island then loses all his memory, then falls inlove with the local girl who saves him. Then when he meets Felicia again he won’t recognize her and breaks her heart again. Additional plot twist is that Felicia is pregnant with their 2nd child. Please pleaseee don’t give us this scenario.. LOL!!!...
If Max can be forgiven Darrin can be forgiven. And I do not like this marriage business but if it has to happen I hope after he gets stranded on some remote island alone while Felicia and his family fight over custody she wins and also gets half his estate. Then by time he comes back she's found having and remarried. Lol...
The writer is good. They're making me interested in Max. I won't say like yet....
It seems the only one who hasn't suffered is Max. Even his family fakes anger and disappointment all their own doing so they suffer a little. Everyone else has suffered. Luke and Jeremy unrequited. Felicia has suffered the most from family to unrequited to romance to long suffering Mother. Even baby Anne never had a mother til Felicia suffered then came back only to suffer some more. lol...
Oh no what did Colton do?... I have a bone to pick. When Olisha had to go the hospital why beg for Felicia? When she so loved Max? Seemed like she was in on the setup for Felicia to see a suicide for the 2nd time orchestrated by holden and his brother again. I might drop this series it's becoming endless with no real satisfaction for me. I don't need it to end because it's like a soap opera but if things don't end up making sense, tying up loose storylines it's gonna get old fast for me. Good luck author....
Anne, I think your baby brother is on the way. Thank goodness it doesn't say that Felicia is crying just like the last time but still, there's no willingness on her part. Max! You need to try harder. Make her fall in love with you again....
