The Ugly Wife’s Stunning Comeback (Felicia and Max) novel Chapter 1047
At eight o'clock, Felicia arrived at the school ahead of schedule. She had just spoken with Anne on the phone, and they were already on their way. Twenty minutes later, Felicia pushed the door open and stepped out of her car.
"Mom!" Anne climbed out of the nanny van, wearing a pink dress with her hair tied in a low ponytail.
Felicia quickly walked over and crouched in front of Anne. She took her little hands, gently stroking her cheek. "You look so beautiful today, Anne."
Anne leaned against her mother and planted a kiss on her cheek. "You look beautiful too."
Felicia raised her hand to caress her daughter's small head, a soft smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "From today on, you are an elementary school student."
"Because I've grown up!"
Felicia couldn't resist pulling Anne into a warm embrace.
"Aunt Felicia!" Paul and Randy called out as they walked over.
Felicia stood up and responded with a warm smile. She lifted her eyes to the man standing before her. His tall, lean figure was clad in a white dress shirt and black straight-leg pants. His deep, elegant features carried a clean, aloof aura. As their eyes met, a silent tension hung in the air.
"Felicia," Max said.
Felicia withdrew her gaze and looked toward Amber and Kate, who had just stepped out of another car. The group exchanged greetings and chatted for a few moments before parting ways. Amber and Kate took the three older children to register for the sixth grade.
"Goodbye, Mom and Dad," Anne said, waving at them.
Watching her daughter's small figure retreat, Felicia suddenly felt the urge to cry. Her eyes grew red as she realized how quickly Anne was growing up. In the blink of an eye, she was already in the first grade.
Max glanced at her from the side. His eyes darkened, but he remained silent. He turned and took long strides toward the parking lot. Felicia gathered her thoughts and slowly turned, standing in place as she quietly watched his retreating back. Only after he had walked far away did she start making her way to the parking lot. By the time she got there, Max's car was already gone.
She got into her car and slowly drove away from the school. On the road, she called Heather. Heather was accompanying Yara to school registration today. Because of some issues, Yara couldn't attend the same elementary school. Jeremy had simply chosen a school and donated a building to them, allowing Yara to enroll at Capital Academy. It wasn't too far from where Felicia was.
Felicia invited Heather to dinner at her house that evening. They planned to pick up Anne and Yara after school and let the two girls catch up, as they hadn't seen each other in quite a while. For the next three days, Felicia brought Anne back to the Ross family estate.

Oh nooo!! Don’t tell me Max will get washed ashore on a remote island then loses all his memory, then falls inlove with the local girl who saves him. Then when he meets Felicia again he won’t recognize her and breaks her heart again. Additional plot twist is that Felicia is pregnant with their 2nd child. Please pleaseee don’t give us this scenario.. LOL!!!...
If Max can be forgiven Darrin can be forgiven. And I do not like this marriage business but if it has to happen I hope after he gets stranded on some remote island alone while Felicia and his family fight over custody she wins and also gets half his estate. Then by time he comes back she's found having and remarried. Lol...
The writer is good. They're making me interested in Max. I won't say like yet....
It seems the only one who hasn't suffered is Max. Even his family fakes anger and disappointment all their own doing so they suffer a little. Everyone else has suffered. Luke and Jeremy unrequited. Felicia has suffered the most from family to unrequited to romance to long suffering Mother. Even baby Anne never had a mother til Felicia suffered then came back only to suffer some more. lol...
Oh no what did Colton do?... I have a bone to pick. When Olisha had to go the hospital why beg for Felicia? When she so loved Max? Seemed like she was in on the setup for Felicia to see a suicide for the 2nd time orchestrated by holden and his brother again. I might drop this series it's becoming endless with no real satisfaction for me. I don't need it to end because it's like a soap opera but if things don't end up making sense, tying up loose storylines it's gonna get old fast for me. Good luck author....
Anne, I think your baby brother is on the way. Thank goodness it doesn't say that Felicia is crying just like the last time but still, there's no willingness on her part. Max! You need to try harder. Make her fall in love with you again....
