The Ugly Wife’s Stunning Comeback (Felicia and Max) novel Chapter 1031
Recalling the scene at the airport, Kate glanced at Anne, who sat looking miserable beside Tatiana. She leaned in and whispered to Amber that Felicia must have already moved on with Jeremy.
When she heard this, Amber was taken aback. "What?"
The two women stood near the back of the room, so no one really paid attention to them. Amber pulled Kate a little further away. "Why would you think Felicia and Jeremy are together?"
Kate explained her reasoning. "I just ran into Felicia at the airport, and Jeremy came to pick her up personally. Since she and Max are officially divorced, and things have escalated to this point, it is perfectly normal for her to find someone new. I just feel sorry for Anne."
Amber shook her head in disagreement. "Jeremy picking her up at the airport does not prove they are together. That is just your assumption."
Kate nodded, but then she noticed Amber's expression suddenly change. The sound of approaching footsteps reached their ears. Turning to look, Kate saw Max appearing in the hallway. The dark, forbidding look on the man's face made her heart tremble.
"Max, you are back," Amber greeted him.
Max simply glanced at the two women, gave a curt nod, and strode forward.
"Daddy," Anne called out, running toward him as soon as she saw him.
Brandon noticed his arrival. "Max."
Max offered a low hum of acknowledgment and walked over to Miranda and Nate, speaking quietly with them for a moment. Just then, the doors to the emergency room swung open. Everyone immediately turned their attention toward the entrance. As the doctor stepped out, he gave Miranda a deep bow. "I am so sorry, Madam. We did everything we could."
Miranda's legs gave out beneath her, and she collapsed backward.
"Mom," Brandon cried out, quickly reaching out to catch her.
A solemn, mournful silence fell over the entire corridor.
Felicia answered softly. "Seven weeks. But I am not sure if I can actually carry the baby to term."
Ava froze for a moment before realization dawned on her. Felicia had been taking medication for a while. "What did the doctor say?"
Felicia sighed. "I had a checkup last week. My numbers still are not where they need to be, but there are signs of improvement. If things do not stabilize by the third month, the doctor strongly recommends terminating the pregnancy."
Ava was at a loss for words, her heart aching with profound sorrow. She reached out and grasped Felicia's hand, desperately wanting to offer comfort but not knowing how. Deep down, she knew Felicia desperately wanted to keep this child. After a long silence, Ava finally spoke. "Does Max know?"
Felicia shook her head.
"That is for the best," Ava murmured softly. "We will listen to the doctor, focus on nursing your health, and leave the rest up to fate."
"Okay," Felicia whispered.

Oh nooo!! Don’t tell me Max will get washed ashore on a remote island then loses all his memory, then falls inlove with the local girl who saves him. Then when he meets Felicia again he won’t recognize her and breaks her heart again. Additional plot twist is that Felicia is pregnant with their 2nd child. Please pleaseee don’t give us this scenario.. LOL!!!...
If Max can be forgiven Darrin can be forgiven. And I do not like this marriage business but if it has to happen I hope after he gets stranded on some remote island alone while Felicia and his family fight over custody she wins and also gets half his estate. Then by time he comes back she's found having and remarried. Lol...
The writer is good. They're making me interested in Max. I won't say like yet....
It seems the only one who hasn't suffered is Max. Even his family fakes anger and disappointment all their own doing so they suffer a little. Everyone else has suffered. Luke and Jeremy unrequited. Felicia has suffered the most from family to unrequited to romance to long suffering Mother. Even baby Anne never had a mother til Felicia suffered then came back only to suffer some more. lol...
Oh no what did Colton do?... I have a bone to pick. When Olisha had to go the hospital why beg for Felicia? When she so loved Max? Seemed like she was in on the setup for Felicia to see a suicide for the 2nd time orchestrated by holden and his brother again. I might drop this series it's becoming endless with no real satisfaction for me. I don't need it to end because it's like a soap opera but if things don't end up making sense, tying up loose storylines it's gonna get old fast for me. Good luck author....
Anne, I think your baby brother is on the way. Thank goodness it doesn't say that Felicia is crying just like the last time but still, there's no willingness on her part. Max! You need to try harder. Make her fall in love with you again....
