The Ugly Wife’s Stunning Comeback (Felicia and Max) novel Chapter 1011

Felicia returned to her residential complex. As she entered her building, she spotted a familiar silhouette waiting by the elevators. Once she recognized the person, her brow furrowed in dismay.

Dannie stood by the elevator doors. Sensing someone looking at her, she turned her head. The moment she saw Felicia, she displayed remarkable composure, showing no surprise whatsoever. She offered a gentle, polite smile. "Felicia, it has been a while. I heard a long time ago that you transferred to Cloudville, but I never expected to actually run into you." Her overly familiar greeting made it seem as though they were old friends.

Felicia stepped forward. "Why are you here?"

Dannie lifted the small bag in her hand. "I came to deliver something."

Felicia had zero interest in Dannie's personal life, but her sudden appearance in this exact building naturally put Felicia on high alert. She chose not to ask any further questions.

When the elevator doors chimed open, Felicia stepped inside first. Dannie followed, reaching out to press the button for the floor directly above Felicia's.

Felicia glanced at her sideways. "Who exactly are you delivering things to?"

Dannie offered a sweet smile, though her eyes remained entirely devoid of warmth. "I believe I have the right to not answer that question."

Felicia coolly withdrew her gaze and dropped the subject. When the elevator reached her floor, she stepped out. The doors slid shut behind her, taking Dannie up to the next level.

Glancing at the time on her watch, Felicia pulled out her phone and dialed Jeremy's number.

The call connected. "Jeremy, are you upstairs?"

"Yes," Jeremy replied. "Heather brought Yara over to your place. Are you not home?"

"I left something at the office and had to go back for it," Felicia explained. "It's almost noon. You should probably head downstairs for lunch soon."

"Alright," Jeremy agreed.

Just as he finished speaking, Felicia heard a doorbell ringing through the receiver. Inside his apartment, Jeremy glanced curiously toward his front door.

Heather laughed. "I'm willing to bet he absolutely won't dare to show his face."

Savannah crossed her arms, her posture brimming with aggressive confidence. "He'd better not come back, just to spare you the annoyance." If he dared to stay away, she would just go hunt him down directly.

Heather could not help but laugh out loud. The women continued their lighthearted gossip.

Mabel finished preparing lunch. Originally, she only had to cook for Felicia and Anne, but with all the extra guests, she had to prepare a much larger meal.

"Mabel, thank you for your hard work," Felicia said warmly. "I'll double your salary for this month."

Mabel beamed with delight. "Oh, it's just my job. No need to thank me."

"Felicia, why don't you call my brother and tell him to come down for food?" Heather suggested.
